I understand that many people would want an mmc pov, but I think having just one pov made this slow burn a slow burn. Initially, whenever Kulti spoke it had that magnitude which could have lost had there been constant commentary of what's going on in his head.
Having said that, there could have been a few plot points that could have been handled better like Sal's sibling situation (I would have loved Kulti and Eric having some sort of encounter) or the soccer girls' dynamic or even a sassy Sal moment in front of that NY player.
Anyway, I had so much fun with this one...I also liked that Kulti wasn't a softie from the beginning, he changed for Sal gradually. Even Sal, despite having a crush on Kulti, never embarrassed herself in a usual cringey romcom way that I absolutely abhor. I like my fmcs strong and independent, and she was that!
No notes for the narrators, they were flawless! I was initially skeptical about the German accent but once I got used to of it, I actually enjoyed it. (not sure whether it was accurate or not tho)
Ps: what is Mariana Zapata's obsession with human excretion?! In All Rhodes lead here, it was the constant pee talk and in this the poop talk. If I read one more book with this much pee or poop talk, I don't think I am picking another book of hers!
