Story
He appears out of nowhere in a sleepy little neighbourhood in suburban Kerala. He calls himself Shunya, the zero. Who is he? A lunatic? A dark magician? A fraud? Or an avadhuta, an enlightened soul? Saami, as they call him, settles into a small cottage in the backyard of the local toddy shop. Here he spins parables, blesses, curses, drinks endless glasses of black tea and lives in total freedom. On rare occasions, he plays soul-stirring melodies on his old bamboo-reed flute. Then, just as mysteriously as he arrived, Shunya vanishes, setting the path for a new avadhuta, a new era.

His uniqueness lies not only in the fact that at the young age of 19 and a half, he travelled to snow-clad Himalayas from Kerala, and there he met and lived for several years with a "real-time" yogi, Babaji, but also that he should undertake such an unusual and adventurous exploration, given his non-Hindu birth and antecedents. Story
We tend to tiptoe around the role of power in management and fail to openly acknowledge how the animal desire to dominate often destroys the best of organizations. Critics tend to see power as a negative thing. But power is a critical tool that affects the implementation of any idea. Any attempt to restrain it with rules results in domestication and resentment and fails to energize the organization. Leaders often equate themselves with lions and indulge their desire to dominate when, in fact, the point of leadership is to be secure enough to outgrow the lion within us.

Story
Upanishads are mankind's oldest works of philosophy, predating the earliest Greek philosophy. They are the concluding part of the Vedas, the ancient Indian sacred literature, and mark the culmination of a tradition of speculative thought first expressed in the Rig-Veda more than 4,000 years ago. Remarkable for their meditative depth, spirit of doubt and intellectual honesty, the Upanishads are concerned with the knowledge of the Brahman, the Ultimate Reality, and man's relationship with it.

Great intro to Kundalini.
This is a great introduction to Kundalini and how to go about meditating on the Kundalini energy. It is well narrated (if you ignore the badly mispronounced Sanskrit words), provides the mythological background and practical pointers to practitioners.
I however felt a little disappointed by a few things:
1. The suggested timelines - meditate for 2 hours a day for a year on each Chakra before moving on to the next one, while you stick to a strictly vegetarian diet and lay off the sauce. I personally know people who have been able to experience unusual experiences in much shorter durations.
2. Make it seem harder - The author tries to deliberately make it seem "inaccessible" to normal folks by repeatedly quoting how some great sage meditated for thousands of years before he had an awakening. He also disses all new-agers and healers up front, somehow insinuating that he's the only one with the right knowledge.
3. Underwhelming benefits - The author sells you the power of Kundalini by quoting outlandish mythological stories of walking into different dimensions, but cites simplistic things such as "clarity of mind" as the benefits of years of meditation. It makes you wonder if it's really all worth it.

Usual Bull, doesn't make any sense.
if you can't tell things ina way that they can be understood it simply means you yourself have not understood it. That is the simple truth higher than any other truth any hypocrite tries to teach you.
infact the author gives a hard sell of reverse psychology by saying that if you are looking for something that makes sense then one should look elsewhere and that is what I am going to follow as his only sensible teaching found in this book.

seed syllables of Chakra NOT READ PROPERLY.
Swami Ji did a great job with this book by making common man available the knowledge of kundalini. I feel whatever you wrote in this book is true. Because such a state can only be attained by intense meditation.
He explain the background and the back stories of every relevant things.
I already have the physical copy of this book.
I BROUGHT THE AUDIO BOOK ONLY FOR THE PURPOSE OF HOW TO PRONOUNCE THE SEED SYLLABLE CORRECTLY.
BUT THE NARRATOR HAS DONE A OKAY/NORMAL JOB IN NARRATING THIS GREAT BOOK. He was okay into brining Life into this Book.
HE JUST GOES ON SPEAKING LIKE A COMPUTER VOICE. NO EMOTION OR FEELINGS WHICH ARE REQUIRED AT SPECIFIC PLACES.
"THE NARRATOR DOES TERRIBLE AT NARRATING THE SEED SYLLABUS OF CHAKRA"
SO IF YOU GUYS ARE BUYING this audiobook please be aware of it. Improper READING of seed syllabus of chakra.
If we keep aside narration. I would anyday give this book 110/100.
PLEASE LISTEN SOME PARTS OF THIS BOOK AT 0.9X SPEED.
I wish Amazon could have Hired OM SWAMIJI HIMSELF FOR NARRATING HIS GREAT BOOK.

Did not like it
The author makes a classic mistake of pointing out that the vedic method doesn't see communion of atma and parmatama. He confuses vedic with bhakti and tries to glorify the tantra.
First the author says that he won't talk about deities and syllables of the chakra and his reading is itself filled with them...The chakra healers are way better than this book which are rebuked so decisively in the intro..
