La réalité est toujours plus complexe qu'elle ne paraît, y compris chez les dieux, Mane, alias le Marchand de sable, a fait voler en éclats toutes les certitudes de Nola. Passant des rêves à la réalité, l'homme qui hantait ses cauchemars lui a révélé l'existence d'un monde peuplé de dieux aux pouvoirs incroyables. Un monde dans lequel elle aurait été la déesse de la nuit et lui celui de la lune. Un monde où ils se seraient aimés avant qu'elle ne le trahisse... Alors qu'ils succombent de nouveau et que Mane choisit d'oublier sa haine, il pourrait voir ses espoirs se briser et son cœur avec. Sera-t-il suffisamment fort pour supporter les nouvelles épreuves ou laissera-t-il son âme s'obscurcir davantage ? Et si derrière l'histoire d'amour de Mane et Nola se cachait des enjeux qui les dépassent ?
