Publisher's Summary

The twisted and intriguing storytelling that you loved in Consequences and Infidelity continues with an all-new alpha anti-hero in the dark romance series Web of Sin, by New York Times best-selling author Aleatha Romig.

I am...

That’s no longer an easy statement.

Who am I?

Since Sterling Sparrow, a man so handsome he takes my breath away and so infuriating he pushes me in ways I’ve never known, came barreling into my life like a category five hurricane, I can’t even finish that simple statement.

In 26 years I’ve lived three lives - been three different people.

Renee. Kennedy. And now, Araneae.

They say that I was named after the spider to make me resilient.

Sparrow would then be a bird.

Birds eat spiders.

I prefer to consider myself a cat. It ups my chance of surviving the world I’m now living.

Maybe that’s only wishful thinking because according to Sterling, my number of lives is running out.

There are people who want to harm me, to learn the secrets they claim that I possess.

The only person to offer me protection is Sterling Sparrow.

Can I trust a man who willingly put me in the sight of danger?

What is real?

What are lies?

Have you been Aleatha’d?

Lies is book two of the Web of Sin trilogy.

Love

I love this series! The narrators are great and the story is fantastic. Ms. Romig’s ability to weave a great tale never lets me down. Now we wait for the next installment!

Love the book

Not so much the audio. The male narrator did a terrible female voice and the female narrator wasn’t much better. I think it would have been better in duet.

Lukewarm

I am SUCH an Aleatha fan but the slow moving predictable nature of this one is a disappointment. I’m hoping that volume 3 takes a great turn. I’m also completely thrown by the male narrator who’s voice doesn’t sound like a man of power by any means. Even worse is when he attempts to portray Kennedy’s voice. Very disturbing! This is so far a big miss for me.

I she cliffhangers so good

I love Aleatha's writing, the way she pulls me in to a story that could very well be plausible in 2018.

As always...

Well Aleatha, you've done it again. You've pulled my heart strings with all the twists and turns and then left it hanging. I love the characters but I do wish that their voices weren't speaking for the other characters. It would have been beautiful to have each voice speak for themselves even when being told by another character but nonetheless, the story is a web of intensity and I LOVE IT!!!!!!

An example of a Abusive relationship.

If you want to know what an unhealthy, abusive relationship is like listen to this series. I'm only listening to see if the author let's her escape it.

On the fence

As irritated as Sterling makes me, the book is action packed enough that I want to continue. Sterling made me even more angry; I hate it when the heroine’s feelings are completely ignored and disrespected. That being said, she does eventually get to him and he starts trying to respect her. I stopped reading it twice because of how frustrated sterling makes me, but I keep picking it back up. I’m still on the fence, but the plot is so engaging that I’m going to pick up the next book too. The author is a really good writer. I just don’t like her hero. The heroine is awesome though (even if I disagree with her sometimes). If you don’t mind a controlling hero, you’ll definitely enjoy this thrilling book.

Better but too much filler

Overall opinion: 3.25

There is so much filler that I ended up skipping whole chapters. Still not sure if I want to continue but I want to see how the story ends.

Infuriating, kill them both.

OMG! Aranea? Really. I can't tell if she's Bipolar or just really flaky Either way, the author failed in making her into a strong character. She drove right past naive and slammed straight into idiocy. Then the constant plot holes. Aranea keeps having emo tantrums over information she already knows about. It I'm done. I just cant finish this series.

Female narrator way overacts and the male is really bad at any female voice.

Gripping!

As the story continues in Lies (#2 in the Web Of Lies trilogy) Araneae finds out more secrets of her past. Sterling is as overbearing and controlling as ever as he tries to keep the feisty Araneae alive and safe from the present dangers. But she struggles to know who to trust in this gripping and exciting read. I can’t wait to find out how all ends!
PS I loved the narrators!
