Lore was a slow burn for me at first — there are so many characters to keep track of, and the beginning feels dense and layered. But once the world clicked in my head, the story became genuinely compelling.

The contrast between betrayal and friendship is beautifully done and kept me hooked through every twist. I especially loved the dynamic between Castor and Lore — their storyline felt rich and deeply human. And while I could predict the romantic direction with Van and Miles, it was executed so sweetly that I didn’t mind at all.

Overall, Lore surprised me in the best way. What starts off complex becomes an emotionally rewarding read with fantastic character depth and mythic stakes. Highly recommend for fans of character-driven fantasy with heart.
