It kept me engaged, so many tips that really work out for you. The best part is the way Jake and John have managed their conversation by stepping in at the right moment for each topic. I was really keen to see if there are any other audio books with them as narrators but couldnt find in audible. Their deep practical knowledge and years of research and extracts from different books is just phenomenally awesome

Really Awesome

Jake and John, authors of Make Time have done an amazing job by listing down 87 of their favourite tactics to make the most of time.

To be honest, those 87 tactics in the book were not something out of the box, or surprisingly new, those were things we have always known.

So how did it keep me hooked?

The element that keeps you hooked with this book is the way it has been written, it feels more interpersonal. It actually gives you a feeling of being in a conversation with two tech nerds, working for Google and trying to make the most of their time, to be better at a professional, and also at a personal front.

I also personally liked the fact that this book didn't come with any superficial promises like 'Making a person X times more efficient' or like 'Living 20 years in just 5'. Instead, it's a simple, honest book which has the nerve to tell you that everything listed or every word written won't make sense, you as a reader have to make a choice of picking the tactics that you want in your life.

Yes, it does get off track or maybe a little slow at times because their productivity hacks aren't the newest in the market, but the authors have very smartly filled even the lamest tracks with excitement through their personal life story.

What made me appreciate this book even more was the fact that the authors remained honest throughout and didn't pretend to be some productivity ninja, it helped me with relating and learning more. They accepted that they fail often, have cheat days, and don't follow their own book entirely.

This could have been a 5 on 5 for me, but I gave it a 4 because I was expecting something out of the box, some hack that I haven't heard of, or known. But overall, Make Time was a non fiction book with surprisingly amazing storytelling.
