Stax Stonecutter has lived a peaceful - if unremarkable - life in his small town in the Overworld. The son of great adventurers and wise builders, Stax prefers an easier life. He loves to tend to his gardens and play with his cats all day, rather than venturing out to explore the surrounding lands. Publisher's Summary
Random House presents the audiobook edition of Minecraft: The Crash by Tracey Baptiste, read by January LaVoy.
The second official Minecraft tie-in novel, following the Sunday Times best seller The Island.
The brand-new official Minecraft novel is an action-packed thriller! When a new virtual-reality version of the game brings her desires - and doubts - to life, one player must face her fears.
Bianca has never been good at following the plan. She's more of an act-now, deal-with-the-consequences-later kind of person. But consequences can’t be put off forever, as Bianca learns when she and her best friend, Lonnie, are in a terrible car crash.
Waking up in the hospital, almost paralyzed by her injuries, Bianca is faced with questions she’s not equipped to answer. She chooses instead to try a new virtual-reality version of Minecraft that responds to her every wish, giving her control over a world at the very moment she thought she’d lost it. As she explores this new realm, she encounters Esme and Anton, two kids who are also playing on the hospital server. The trio teams up to play through to the End and hopefully to find Lonnie along the way.
But the road to recovery isn’t without its own dangers. The kids are swarmed by mobs seemingly generated by their fears and insecurities, and now Bianca must deal with the uncertainties that have been plaguing her: is Lonnie really in the game? And can Bianca help him to return to reality with her?

made me sob
This was a beautifully written story that made emotions spill out of me and the connections made between the character and myself is astounding. You really feel for the character. When you read this story be sure to be in a quiet place and have tissues at hand. Your gonna need them.

Mixture of good and bad
this was essentially a well written and interesting story line but I feel the author probably hasn't played the game at all, as there were so many inaccuracies on the game play that it missed a lot of what made the first book so great.

It's not bad.
If you came here looking for something at least half as good as the Max Brooks book (not to mention the outstanding narrator - Jack Black xoxo) you're sadly in a wrong place. The story is less interesting and sometimes not really logical. If you love Minecraft and just want to have something to listen to about it - it's okay, I didn't manage to get through it in one go but I probably fill finish it someday.
