Publisher's Summary

Everyone has secrets, and Rachel Holloway is no exception. She’s worked hard to keep the past where it belongs: dead and buried. And so far, she’s been very successful. But now the small newspaper where she works wants to produce a podcast on a cold case: the disappearance 12 years ago of young Molly Forster.

Some secrets should never see the light of day, and, as far as Rachel is concerned, whatever happened to little Molly is one of them. Rachel has a life now - a boyfriend she loves and a three-year-old daughter she adores - and she will do anything to protect them. But to do that, no one can ever know that she is Molly Forster.

Thrilling -from a verified Audible Junkie

Wow. Four words—just pick it up. I average around 2/3 audiobooks a week, I know, it's a problem, and Missing Molly is phenomenal.

Missing Molly. Not For Long.

Missing Molly by Natalie Barelli was a nice surprise. Often in reviews I read “not realistic.” So what? Books that are completely realistic need be in nonfiction and taken from crime reports. I don’t read for realism. I want books to keep me guessing. I never want a book to be redundant. Missing Molly is a mystery with a feeling of light heartedness. Thanks!

Bad to Worse

I tried to like this book, I really did. But it just kept getting worse and worse. In the end I have about 45 minutes left and I just cannot bring myself to finish it.

The main character’s motivations make no sense. Her choices make no sense. It’s like the author got all their knowledge about human behavior from made-for-tv Lifetime specials.

Here’s an example. If your best friend was dating the man who murdered your whole family, had never been caught and was still trying to kill you, would you, A) Tell your best friend? B) Call the police? C) Have a dinner party with them and act like everything’s cool, then tell no one? Guess which option our protagonist chooses.

Molly Foster!!

Very gripping story. I literally couldn’t put it down! Absolutely brilliant and engaging. Worth a credit.

The narrator Lucy Price-Lewis is my favorite! Always makes the story come alive.

Predictable...

I’m not sure why so many people thought the end was so mind blowing. I thought the story was very predictable and by the end I didn’t feel there was much suspense at all leading up to the “big reveal” which wasn't a reveal at all really. The main character gave away basically everything through her "thoughts." The narration is what saves the book, I think. And overall it was entertaining, and I did finish it, I just felt totally let down at the end. I did, however, appreciate that it wasn’t quite as violent or graphic as other thrillers that are out there. The mentions of violence and graphic situations were few and short. To me that's a plus.

Main character was frustrating and selfish

The main character wasn’t very likeable. Her decisions frustrated me and I found her to be selfish. She put innocent people in danger and let others get blamed when she knew the truth. I kept thinking she could have found more reasonable solutions to her dilemmas. The story overall was entertaining, but I found it hard to root for the main character.

Predictable

I hate mysteries where the woman does stupid things just to keep the story going in the direction the author wants. The reader is aware it's happening and it's infuriating.

Slow start but worth staying with

After reading some of the reviews I nearly didn’t continue after a slow start. Overall I enjoyed the read finding the last half much better . Like so many things coming to light in recent years some things which appear unbelievable turn to be true so who knows ?

Glad I persevered.

First half was all in the office. Boring if you’ve never worked in an office.
Eventually, out in other places, it took off and kept me interested right to the end.
Narrator was very good, as she always is! Brought the characters to life. Her reading of male voices especially realistic! Not all female narrators can achieve that.

Amazing story, great narrator!

Natalie did it again! amazing story, and finally she picked a great narrator, as she previously didn’t quite find the right narrator for her audiobook. Keep it up!

Enjoyed this book

Chose to listen to this as have listened to lots of books narrated by Lucy Price-Lewis and enjoy her style.
I really enjoyed this book - was a slow build with no huge surprises but was very tense and fast paced in latter part of the book. I would give more of the authors books a listen.

Surprised not to be surprised

Another fantastic performance by Lucy Price-Lewis. If you're into a good twist or a book that keeps you guessing, this probably isn't for you. A little boring at times, no real surprise or thrill. However, Molly's story was interesting and it was nice to have a solid conclusion at the end.

Slow starter but gripping until the end

Started very slow and I nearly gave up but from about chapter 8 until the end I was hanging on every word
