Mohini Theevu is a short historical fiction with elements of fantasy and romance. It is essentially a love story of a Chozha prince and a Pandiya princess, who are children of arch-enemy kings. The story might not be anything new for listeners of historical fiction and tales of kings, but since it’s Kalki who is the author, he makes it unique with his beautiful language and characterisations. The descriptions of the magical island and the details of art of the era make you feel that you are right in the middle of the story yourself, feeling what the characters feel and seeing all the beautiful sights. The book is a short and delightful listen, much suitable for young listeners.

You will travel with the story, Kalki is a genius for sure, how come one can think of these kind of imagination. I am disappointed that I cannot able to visit Mohini theevu and the author Kalki Krishna murthy sir. Long live your work.

Story was amazing as his other works. Scene from theater was an interesting note!
Whole multi-person narration with good music gives a taste to your imagination however On few places I found the Bgm was bit disturbing.
