Publisher's Summary

We're the D'Artigo sisters: savvy half-human, half-fae operatives for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency. My sister Delilah is a two-faced werecat and a Death Maiden. Menolly is a vampire married to a gorgeous werepuma and a vampire prince. And me? I'm Camille, a Moon Witch married to three gorgeous husbands, and I'm about to ascend to the throne of Dusk and Twilight. But the path to the throne lies through a labyrinth of dangers, which I must face alone.

Before I can fulfill my destiny to become the queen of Dusk and Twilight, I must seek out the Keraastar Diamond. But to find the magical gem and take control over the Keraastar Knights, I must venture back to Otherworld, deep into the treacherous Tygerian Mountains. Once there, I face a magical trial by fire. If I fail, Pentangle, the Mistress of Magic, will destroy me. If I succeed, my life will forever change. And I'm not certain which prospect frightens me more.

Changing pronunciation

I am 6 chapters in so far and though I can’t really say if I like or dislike the book itself, I’m disappointed that the narrator has changed so many of the pronunciations of the names and places in this book. It’s is very distracting from the smooth flow of the story. Why in the 19th book would you change it? This doesn’t make since at all. I will have to wait and see how I feel at the end, if I can continue to listen. I am debating on buying the written copy.

Frustrating listening

The story line was great, but the narrator changed how she said a bunch of words and names, as well as the characters inflections. I found it odd, and annoying.

What happened to the narrator

How many books are we into the series at this point? I’ve lost count but after at least ten books the narrator seems to have randomly decided to change how she’s pronouncing EVERY name in the series. If I have to listen to her pronounce Delilah as De-la-ya one more time I may scream. I’ve always had issues with the fact that she uses the same voice no matter which of the three main characters is the narrator of each particular book but until this book that was a minor issue I could tolerate now I’m just starting to hate this narrator.

Love this series of books

What made the experience of listening to Moon Shimmers the most enjoyable?

The overall story. After 18 books the characters feel like old friends.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite of the men is Smokey, but I love all the sisters the same. I love the personality of each of my favorites. I would love to have a Smokey of my own.

Did Cassandra Campbell do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

This is what caused me to write a review. Ms Campbell has read all the books and has brought the characters and their personalities to life. That said, in this book she has begun pronouncing Names differently than she did in the other books. I caught myself more than once correcting her out loud. It was very distracting. Fans would really like to know why.

Any additional comments?

I know there is only two more books and then the sisters' story is finished. It makes me extremely sad and I sincerely hope Ms. Galenorn starts a new very long series or considers new Indigo Court stories .

great series

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Otherworld series. Interesting characters, good storyline and many pertinent understories to many social issues in today's world. However, in this book for whatever reason the narrator has changed the pronunciation of most of the character names. I found this not only annoying but distracting. Why, after 18 books change how you pronounce the exact same characters names for boom and 19?

WTF was Cassandra Campbell thinking?????

i love the series! The narration was horrible. Cassandra Campbell did all of the books in this series and has done a wonderful job until she got to book 19. She pronounced long vowel sounds in many of the characters names, for example, Delilah. She pronounced it Dee-li-lah and it was very odd. She did it with many of the other characters also. Having listened to books 1-18 and absolutely loving them, this reading completely distracted from the story and i found myself correcting her!

Performance is different this go-round

The story was great as we come to a close on those series, however, the performance wasn’t as good as it usually is.

Certain names and words that were pronounced in one manner for the other books were now pronounced differently. For instance, the name Titania was once pronounced “Tuh-Tawn-Ya” and was now pronounced “Tie-Tan-Ya”, which can throw a listener off since it’s been pronounced as the former for the past 10 + books.
