April and Eddie have taken a wrong turn.

They're on a long dark road, late at night, and they see a woman up ahead, clearly in trouble.

They stop and pick her up. It's only once she's in the car that they see the blood.

And then they see the headlights, and at last, the woman speaks, her voice faint. "I'm sorry, he's coming."

Ingeniously plotted and heartstoppingly terrifying, are you ready to uncover the secret of Murder Road?

Critic Reviews

Simone St. James is known for brilliantly mixing thriller elements with supernatural mayhem, and MURDER ROAD, her most recent novel, offers readers plenty of both… Fast, chilling, entertaining, unexpectedly touching, and with two broken, memorable characters at its core, this might be St. James’s best novel yet
As creepy and unsettling as a rain-faded wreath and teddy bear found by the side of the road to mark a missing person, Murder Road lingers like a ghost long after it’s finished.
From its terrifying opening to its jaw-dropping conclusion, this thriller has it all—small-town secrets, ominous dark deeds after midnight, and a young couple desperate to learn the truth before it costs them their very lives. You will follow this shocking road to its climactic end!

Genuinely creepy. I’m very hard to scare but Murder Road sent shivers down my spine. (Mark Edwards, bestselling author of Here to Stay)
Creepy and hugely fun, a fast and sinister romp of a road trip gone wrong
From its nerve-shredding start to its thrilling end, MURDER ROAD steers the reader down creepy backroads, past urban legends so vivid you'd swear they were true, and into the marriage of two damaged souls you can't help but root for. Part love story, part campfire tale, it's a trip well worth taking
There may be a chilling supernatural element at the heart of Murder Road, but it’s the unforgettable main characters that will pull you in: damaged survivors who find salvation in each other, beautifully drawn. Once you start reading you won’t be able to put it down. I know I couldn’t
Murder Road serves up the kind of tension that sends chills racing over your skin as you furiously turn the pages, desperate to uncover the secrets of Coldlake Falls. An exhilarating, haunting ride from start to finish
Murder Road hits the gas and doesn’t let up! Full of secrets, twists, and turns. Simone St. James takes you on a supernatural road trip you are unlikely to forget

Story is all right; the ending is protracted. After the climax, the story loses its dramatic element.

The ghost encounter.

what a mind-blowing audiobook of a spine-chilling paranormal thriller. every emotion and every character was so different from the other you didn't want to stop the book. it's a quick thriller so it's finish able easily but the screams and the eeriness really got to me. Full Marks for making the brilliant ambiance and a word of advice: never read or listen to Simone St James book at 3 AM. scared me like anything.
