My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding - Entertaining!
I am a fan of many authors in this area & really enjoyed this book. Kept me going & I found about 5 new authors whose books I plan to get. I recommend this for anyone who wants to have a good time in this genre. Gave me a great feel for the authors I looked at but had not been drawn to yet. Looking forward to trying them out & enjoying the "Big Fat Supernatural Honeymoon"

Mixed
Some of the stories are quite good, and others not at all.
For this, as with other anthologies, I wish Audible provided a table of contents: which chapter is which story and author. That way I could skip stories by authors I know I dislike or go straight to one I want to hear over again.

Enjoyed about 80%
7ish out of the 9 stories I really enjoyed.
Overall it was a good buy and a good listen. The narrators were well chosen.
A couple of the stories were harder for me to enjoy because I had a hard time 'getting aquinted' with the characters and place setting.
But that is completely my personal opinion and I believe that if you enjoy supernatural/paranormal type of stories, then you will not be dissapointed with this selection.

Meh.
I like a lot of these authors, but overall these short stories are not very satisfying. I found most of them a bit "pat" and tidy - not complicated enough to be very interesting.

The narrator makes or breaks it
I wish Audible would provide a list of narrators connected to stories, because some of them were awesome while others I felt did a disservice to the story. The narrators of Jim Butcher's and Rachel Caine's stories, for example, were wonderful, but Lori Handeland's narrator lacked rhythm and expression. I kept reworking sentences in my head the way I think the author MEANT for them to sound, and that pulled me out of the story. But in spite of that I think this short story was really good in spite of the mediocre read. And the narrator for Esther M. Friesner, although a good reader, missed his comedic marks fairly often. I think the story would have been a lot funnier had someone else read it. Overall, the book was a nice introduction to the fantasy genre, and I found some authors I will definitely pick up in the future. But I'd really like to avoid some of the narrators, if I could just identify them!

Very Disappointing.. Mostly cheesy stories
I like Charlaine Harris so I gave this one a try. I only kind of liked 3 of the 9 stories. There was really only one that I could honestly say I enjoyed completely (that was the first story). They were almost all really corny... mostly sappy love stories involving supernatural beings and magic. I guess I should have expected that.

For series followers only!
Do NOT get this only you follow the series of each author. These short stories are based and story lines and character that have already been fully developed in other books.

Urban fantasy style wedding plans
Since I know the most of the authors in this book, I was able to enjoy it. Not a great collection like the other anthology but still a fun listen. I have to say the Harry Dresden short story was the best but the others had its charms, too.

Seperate but not equal
I have read some of the review of other listeners and had to write a review of my own. Each of these stories were indeed written by different authors and that is the way one should listen to them. Do not try to group them together as a cohesive story. I found each entertaining in their own unique way. I have discovered new authors to read while enjoying my favorites. It's worthy!

terrible narration
the stories are OK, some good, but generally the choice of narrators completely ruined it. the last story has such a terrible, possibly supposed to be English accent, that I skipped the story entirely because it annoyed me too much. the rest are better but not good

A mixed bag - some better than others
I discovered a couple of new authors by downloading this - which was the point! Jim Butcher and Charlaine Harris write by far and away the strongest short stories, and a couple of the others are ... frankly ... lame in comparison.
Likewise with the narrators. It was great to have a mix of male / female voices though.
Some of the images really stick with me, so I'm happy to hang onto this. I guess the editor was going for breath of supernatural weddings & trying to cover all bases (ghosts, vampires, werewolves, spirits, curses etc etc) rather than a specific type, which makes it a little jumbled. Possibly best listened to as individual stories, rather than in one go like I did.

The spell of love.
A wide range of stories from an even wider range of authors. Definitely a dip in and out of book.
