About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

'There are always regrets in life, among them things we've done that we wish we could take back and erase. I have significant ones that will haunt me forever and which I hope I have been brave enough to confront in this book' Jane Fonda in the preface to My Life So Far.

Now in her 60s, Fonda looks back over her life but also forward to the future. With unflinching honesty she addresses, amongst other things, her tragic and tortured relationships with her mother and father; her lovers and husbands, from Roger Vadim to Ted Turner; her passions and political views. The result is rare in its readability and sheer page-turning force. This is a powerful account of an extraordinary woman.

Critic Reviews

An incredible woman...and this is certainly an incredible book, given how open and honest the very private Fonda is being (Lisa Milton, BCA)
Such candiness...you're left with something less frequently inspired by a Hollywood star autobiography - respect

She didn't just live through changing times, she embodied
them

Jane Fonda fearlessly lays bear the many, frequently criticised facets of her more than full life with panache and honesty...A moving portrait of an extraordinary life, from vulnerable childhood to wise womanhood
Endearingly earnest, honestly intelligent

this would be a memorable book for me. it has a lot to teach and understand from Jane's personal experiences, but also the story is very interesting, it keeps you hooked. i haven't finished any other book so fast. and the end is so worth-it! it is wholesome and so beautiful how things come to the conclusion in the end, like I've been living her life and finally everything has fallen in place in such a fulfilling way that i couldn't imagine before, and there's a deep sense of relief and pride in all the decisions previously doubtfully made. i feel young people should listen to this, it will help them understand how over the course of life, things usually fall in place and what are the actually important things in life after all!

pretty terrific
