Excellent - Well worth a listen

Its hard to imagine how such a great man like William Wells Brown started out out as a slave, beaten, abused, denied an education and separated as a mere lad from his family, could turn out to be the great scholar, abolitionist and poet. Such a remarkable tale of courage and determination, and a great reminder of the stain of slavery that tainted everyone from Mark Twain to George Washington. This should be part of the school curriculum.
