Story
It all started with a mysterious blue note sewn into a wedding dress. Something blue. I’d gone to sell my own unworn bridal gown at a vintage clothing store. That’s when I found another bride’s “something old". Stitched into the lining of a fabulously feathered design was the loveliest message I’d ever read: Thank you for making all of my dreams come true.

Critic Reviews
- Audie Award Winner, Romance, 2008
"Generously seasoned with plenty of tart humor and snappy dialogue, and graced with a delightfully amusing pair of protagonists trying desperately not to fall in love, Natural Born Charmer is simply irresistible." (Booklist)

Another CHARMER from SEP!
Although I read one or two of the Chicago Stars series I have really enjoyed the rest of the series on Audible and am glad I have them to go back to listen to when I want a fun, easy listen. The characters are flawed and have issues and that makes them more realistic. As in all of SEP books, there is fun and snappy dialog and good sexual chemistry. The sex scenes are steamy and fun without being unnecessarily graphic like a lot of authors are doing today. As I have noted with some other SEP books, there is a primary couple, but also a love story for a secondary couple. I think April Fields does a GREAT job narrating and changing voices. She even does a fine job singing a little in this one!

Very Entertaining
If you liked Match Me If You Can by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, you'll love Natural Born Charmer! The characters were believable and down-to-earth, and the intertwining storylines kept me entertained. It was a quick listen-I just didn't want to turn it off! Very good narration and very good author. I thought this book was superb and would love to have a sequel to follow up on the lives of the characters!

Readers warning: You'll get sucked in..
First of all that beaver thing, and calling Blue(!) 'The Beave'... it was just wrong.
That being said: I don't know what she does or how she does it, but SEP does it well. I just kept nodding off, lulled to sleep by the narrator's voice, and then waking up and rewinding the thing so I wouldn't miss one bit of the story.. A very weird experience. The story just felt like it was reaaally long, and slooow in it's development, but it didn't seem to bother me(?!)
You just get sucked into the SEP world and don't want to leave.
And it totally got me hooked on her Chicago Stars series.. That's some weird talent, ms Phillips..
(The narrator did lull me to sleep, but that was because her voice was very pleasant. In all honesty I think she did a great job!)

Really enjoyed this book!
I thoroughly enjoy this author's writing. They're not deep thinking, heavy subject matter books, but pure enjoyment. I love the banter between Blue & Dean -- the reader is very good and has good tone changes for each character. I found myself smiling throughout. There are definitely some cheesy lines, but found myself happy overall during my long commute to work, so that's an excellent feat! Highly recommend this as well as the one before this, Match Me If You Can.

Laught Out Loud Funny, Fantastic Narration!!
I enjoyed this book. I LOVED the narrator and may well purchase other books just because she is reading them! She does 5 characters and each has their own "voice". This is a great listen when you are in the mood for somthing funny and light, may times I caught myself laughting out loud! It is also appropriate for young teens but with the caution of some mild sex scenes, but nothing that they haven't heard about from their friends yet I am sure! Enjoy!!

Great fun! Kept me up way too late at night.
I read the paperback twice in the past and recently listened to the audiobook. It was still wonderful. It’s more in depth than most romance books. I loved the complicated relationships and how it all turned out.
I loved the witty and sarcastic bickering between main characters. Although the plot and characters had some similarities to plots and characters in this author's other novels, they were so entertaining and so well done that it didn't matter.
AUDIOBOOK NARRATOR:
Anna Fields was very good.

One of the Funniest Books Ever
Dean Robillard; quarterback of the fictional Chicago Stars is driving along a Colorado back road; bored with his own company when he sees a girl walking in the grassy median dressed like a beaver. With a beginning like this the story weaves a lot of humor and family pathos and drama into a romance that is less a romance novel than anything SEP has written. The plot is typical for a Chicago Stars novel. The quirky, plucky girl is in way over her head with the gorgeous professional athlete. They are thrown together by circumstance and love blossoms. It is unfortunate that they both have enough baggage that it will prevent them from really getting together until the final pages of the book, or final minutes of the audio. Fortunately SEP is a good enough author that she can write life into an doddering plot line. Her characters in Natural Born Charmer are almost real and so sympathetic that you can feel their pain. April and Riley in particular are characters that I really came to care about. There is something here for everyone; even an old jock whose lack of sensitivity has been noted by more than one ex. What I'm saying is, guys give it a shot.

Cute
This is a cute story that is fun and romantic. The narrorator was good and the characters were interesting. I like how Susan Elizabeth Phillips ties the "Chicago Stars" stories together.

Typical SEP
Can't say I've ever read an SEP novel that I didn't like. I thought her last two works (Ain't She Sweet and Match Me if You Can) fell a little short of her earlier stories - but this one is standard fair that will leave you feeling upbeat, entertained and satisfied. A fun, quick listen/read.

I love all SEP's books - but this is my favourite so far. Wish all her books were available in audio on this site.

Enjoyable listen
I’ve had a run of bad books recently so was very pleasantly surprised by this listen, which I chose on a whim. Enjoyable and I got absorbed in their world for the duration of the book. I’m off to get more from the series now!
