About this listen

The Stormlight Archive saga continues in Oathbringer, the incredible third book in Brandon Sanderson's #1 New York Times bestselling series.

The Alethi armies commanded by Dalinar Kholin won a fleeting victory at a terrible cost: The enemy Parshendi summoned the violent Everstorm, and now its destruction sweeps the world and its passing awakens the once peaceful and subservient parshmen to the true horror of their millennia-long enslavement by humans. While on a desperate flight to warn his family of the threat, Kaladin Stormblessed must come to grips with the fact that their newly kindled anger may be wholly justified.

Nestled in the mountains high above the storms, in the tower city of Urithiru, Shallan Davar investigates the wonders of the ancient stronghold of the Knights Radiant and unearths the dark secrets lurking in its depths. And Dalinar realizes that his holy mission to unite his homeland of Alethkar was too narrow in scope. Unless all the nations of Roshar can put Dalinar's blood-soaked past aside and stand together - and unless Dalinar himself can confront that past - even the restoration of the Knights Radiant will not avert the end of civilization.

Critic Reviews

The Stormlight Archive is epic in every sense
Brandon Sanderson is one of the greatest fantasy writers
A great epic fantasy - satisfying and fulfilling in every way
[Oathbringer] has magic in bounds, and mysteries by the minute . . . It has lore for days, and deep histories that only get more tangled the deeper you go . . . It is a triumph of a novel
A singularly brilliant creation which is both epic in its scope and intimate in its soul
The Stormlight Archive continues to be absolutely fabulous. Oathbringer is another phenomenal entry into the series
A magnificent fantasy read. Sanderson is one of the best and most consistent fantasy authors currently writing

I am truly unable to continue with the sing song narration and whiny dialogue. My love for sanderson's work made me plough through 3 books of the series but i need a break before i can subject myself to more torture by the female voice acting performance. I hope sanderson team are able to produce alternate versions of someone who can do justice to an epic story and masterful characters who are being butchered by the female voice actor. Stopping the series as of this book.

Wonderful story spoiled by poor voice acting

I might be unlearned towards what makes good literature but this book was the most extended audible annoyance I have ever endured. and I did it only because I love the rest of the books

annoying
