Many teenage girls will recognize something of themselves in J. C. Burke's novel of four surfer girls all struggling to rise above their own problems and insecurities, from drugs to boys to self-esteem. Australian friends Micki, Ace, Georgie, and Kia are the Starfish Sisters, ready to reunite for surf camp once again, except that Ace hasn't made the training camp - and now she seems determined to drive them all apart. Performer Edwina Wren's sweet, plaintive voice is well suited to this heartfelt story.
