Awesome Work

The idea is awe-inspiring. And the performance was masterfully done. Through his work, Barack recognises the tiny strengths of his daughters and magnifies them through the achievements of great men and women. He also takes us down the history lane to appreciate and thank those who were true to their creativity. It's a piece that anyone should fall for.

Nice short book for kids

This was a lovely short book for children with excellent narration. My tween even enjoyed listening to it before bedtime. Highly recommended if it is on sale for a reasonable price!

A loving tribute

I loved this warm and heart-felt children's story from our respected President Obama which weaves historic figures and their accomplishments with a father's awareness of the qualities his children that have within them to inspire and make positive change in the world just as they have inspired him to write this. Although not read by President Obama, the narrator is a terrific T.V actor with a great voice for narration. This short book actually made me misty-eyed. Fully recommended!

Less than 8 minutes long

Nice article but the actual article is less than 8 minutes long with half the performance being a list of famous individuals cited in the work... not at all worth $4. Maybe $1... maybe

I love Barack Obama!
So of course I'm giving this 5 stars!
it's a very touching book.

Short, sweet, inspirational

The letter itself is very short, loving, teaching, thoughtful, and inspiring. The description following takes up at least half the listening time. Andre Braugher does a fine job as narrator, but it is too bad Barack couldn’t have read it himself. The letter is beautifully written, full of thoughts and reminders of who we are or ought to be as a nation. I would wish that every American could read and hear his message to his daughters— and to us. (Oh, and the illustration of the girls and Bo is adorable.)

NOT a kid's book despite the artwork

Reads as a list of very accomplished individuals (not specific to girls) It's simply a short list. Purchased to have my daughter listen while in the car for errand runs. It was over before we made it to the first stop.
