About this listen
The ghosts haunting Alison Kerby's Jersey Shore guesthouse are sad. Maxie wants to know who murdered her ex-husband, and Paul pines for his still-living almost-fiancee. The only one who isn't missing her ex is Alison-because The Swine just arrived on her doorstep...

In the third installment of Haunted Guesthouse, ghost host Alison Kerby takes on more unfinished business for her supernatural friends. The in-law ghosts at Alison’s guesthouse present her a pair of romantic riddles: Maxie is after her ex-husband’s killer, while Paul asks Alison to deliver a parting present to his near-fiancée, still among the living. Meanwhile, supernatural sleuth Alison has her own maudlin misadventure when her ex-husband, aka "The Swine", shows up in search of a second chance. Actress Amanda Ronconi captures the cozy quirkiness that informs author E. J. Copperman’s playful take on the paranormal. Ronconi reprises her role as haunted heroine Alison, an overworked, underappreciated mother - frequently fatigued, but nevertheless full of love, loyalty, and warmth for her family, both living and dead.
This book definitely had the theme - Exes. Allison is finally running her guesthouse successfully but she's mostly dependent on the tours that promises her guests a spook show with the real ghosts not some fake scares and sounds.
But her resident ghosts have problems of their own and while Paul requests Allison in helping find his ex fiancee, Maxie on the other hand wants Allison to find out who unalived her ex-husband.
On top of that, her (Sw!n£) of a ex-husband is back and wants to be back in her life.
The banter is so freaking lit and hilarious and the drama and settings and the whole vibe will instantly grip you and not let go.
The solving mystery is a big part but it definitely feels like actually being there with Allison and helping solve the cr!me mystery.
My favorite part about this series is the dialogues, the ghostly companions and sometimes mischiefs, Cute daughter of Allison, Melissa who's so smart for a nine year old and Allison's mother along with our Grumpy detective and ofcourse the resident ghosts - Paul and Maxie.
Can't wait to dive in the next one.
Gripping Cozy Mystery and amazing characters and lit banter 😍
