Today, I'm joined by Haesue Jo, Licensed Therapist & Head of Clinical Operations at BetterHelp, with years of experience providing individual and family therapy in community mental health. Her current clinical focus includes working with individuals with a variety of presenting problems, including anxiety, relationship and family issues, trauma, community violence, gender identity, and depression.

This is the part two of a two-part series where I take the client seat and have a full therapy session with Haesue. Today, I am talking to Joe Jonas. Joe rose to fame, alongside his brothers Kevin and Nick, as a member of the pop rock group Jonas Brothers. The band became one of Disney's prominent figures and even took the lead roles in the widely successful musical television film Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.

Joe opens the conversation by sharing how he had come to love meditation and how this has helped him appreciate self love even more. We talk about his struggles as a solo artist, the realization that he needed professional help which eventually led to therapy which then led to the understanding that his feelings were valid. Joe is proud of his humble beginnings and how this affects our perspectives, becoming a husband and a father, and the value of staying connected to the people that you truly care for.

Inspiring and Uplifting!!

I love everything about his books, his pod casts and how he relates situations in today's society. It really opens my eyes to everything around me and how to decompress, BREATH and anylyze my behavior. I'm aware of thoughts, my emotions and how I respond to the world around me and the people in it. I always try to hold myself accountable in my marriage and my friendships! He helps me do that in a positive way!

Feeling Connected!

The had the pleasure of seeing Jay in person in Vegas a few months ago and have become a fan. I never really thought that Kendall would be a person I would feel connected to. I just want to express my gratitude to both Jay and Kendall for this episode. I am a 61 year old American male, not someone you would think has a lot in common with them. The fact is there are many similarities in my journey to their journeys. I love this share, thank you both! Steve

Really eloquently explains the “Words of affirmation” person’s point of view

As a person who has struggled to communicate my love language with my wife for so long, this offers a third-person insight into where the desire for the words comes from rather than a vain need to be acknowledged.
