Editorial Reviews

Beloved Australian author Robin Klein’s irrepressible Penny Pollard sets pen to paper to describe what happens after her parents put her on the train to "boring" Aunt Winifred’s while they prepare the house for her new baby brother. Perfectly expressing a 12-year-old’s enthusiasm, Rebecca Macauley gives voice to the excitement and engagement as Penny shares her plans, adventures, observations, and explanations of who is really to blame when something has gone amiss, as well as her eventual discovery that not all babies and boys are all bad.

Critic Reviews

"It's fun for listeners to hear Polly grow as she has new experiences. A wonderful choice for all maturing kids." (AudioFile)
