David Bowie nació en Briston, Londres, en 1947. En 1962 su amigo George le dió un puñetazo en el ojo y eso provocó que le cambiara el color de la pupila. A los dieciseis años dejó la escuela para centrarse en la música. Su primer éxito, Space Oddity se emitió por TV durante el aterrizaje del hombre en la Luna. Grabó 26 álbumes, ingresó en el Salón de la Fama del Rock and Roll y ganó el Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. De estilo camaleónico, continuó haciendo música hasta su muerte en 2016. Está considerado como uno de los cantautores más icónicos de su generación.
