Publisher's Summary

Persuasion, Jane Austen's last novel, is a tale of love and marriage told with irony and insight. Anne Elliot and Captain Wentworth have met and seperated years before. Their reunion, after the passage or irrecoverable years of their youth, forces a recognition of the false values that drove them apart.

The loveliest book

Anne Elliot is the loveliest of them all. My love for Persuasion is an undying one. I'm glad to have known its existence and better to have read it over and over again. It has the right amount of sarcasm, social commentary, variety of characters ,lessons in patience and an introverted heroine. Will read it every year.

Wonderfully sweet rendition

Beautifully read out but low volume makes it difficult to hear the book on the road

Good reading.

Good reading. One of Austen's later works. Not as good as Pride & Prejudice, but not bad

Trifecta

Persuasion was the last complete work of Jane Austen. This performance is masterful, expertly done and interesting voices. I highly recommend it.

Part of a Read along

It was narrated very well which was orobably the only reason I could finish it. a good story for it's times. The correctness of the language and the writing style unique to Jane Austen were the prominent features of this story.
