Publisher's Summary

Imagine a world where New York Times best-selling author, comedian, actor, television, and podcast host Adam Carolla is the President of the United States. Can’t do it? You don’t have to! Adam has done it for you!

Podcast king Adam Carolla first shared his unique, but always funny world view in his New York Times best seller, In Fifty Years We’ll All Be Chicks - but he’s not done.

In President Me, Carolla shares his vision for a different, better America free from big issues like big government down to small problems like hotel alarm clock placement. Running on an anti-narcissism platform, President Carolla calls for a return to the values of an earlier time when stew and casserole were on every dinner table and there were no “service dogs” on airplanes. President Me hits right at the heart of what makes our country really annoying, and offers a plan to make all of our lives, but mostly Adam’s, much better.

Hilarious and Painfully True

I know Carolla is a comedian and I know he is joking about some of the topics but he hits the nail directly on the head.
This book will not sit well with liberals and people who take themselves too seriously. He comes off as a racist and insensitive. Oh well! It is very funny and takes topics on directly in your face.
I am able to look past the fact that he is saying the things that some don't want to say and that he does point out things most want to brush under the rug and see the bigger point. He has made a very funny book that addresses real issues.
I will definitely be looking into more from Carolla.

Funny, Truthy, Douchey

What made the experience of listening to President Me the most enjoyable?

Adam's performance of the title made it top notch. He's a comedian, so you would expect his timing/delivery to be great, and it was.

There was a lot of politically incorrect truth here mixed with a fed-up attitude. There were some stories that ran on too long and times when I said, "What a douchebag", but overall, really funny. He's like the Libertarian version of John Stewart.

What did you like best about this story?

Funny, truthful and not afraid to ruffle the panties of some liberals and Democrats.

Started off a bit slow but picked up

When he got to the UN part it was laugh out loud funny. That alone was probably worth the purchase.

Quite entertaining, but repetitive...

The only problem for me was that, as an avid Adam Carolla daily podcast listener, I'd heard 99.5% of the stories in this book several times. Though there was very little new, Adam's delivery is always entertaining.

Adam for POTUS

Adam brings a smile and head-nod to the listener's face with each of his proposed Policies - should he be elected. Of course, some are a bit outlandish, but that's the comedian's tongue-in-cheek way of showing how ridiculous the current status quo is.

Gets my vote!

I would vote for Adam Carolla, for president, if the choice were given. I have waaaaay too much in common with this man and his ideals.

I'm going to pass this on to my young adult children, in the hope that my years of advice are now pounded into their ears by another logical human being.

Good job Carolla.

Classic Carolla

Would you listen to President Me again? Why?

No, because its stand-up comedy on paper.... but I'd recommend it to others.

What other book might you compare President Me to and why?

Any good comedian's humor book.

What does Adam Carolla bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

No one can deliver a comedian's words like the comedian themself. Carolla read by anyone else would be bad.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

His logical politics , they match up so easily with my own ... and they are both humorous and revealing in contrast to real politicians.

Any additional comments?

If you enjoyed either of his first two books, or his podcast, its a must read.

Adam Carolla: President Me

As usual, Adam says what he really thinks in a graphic way. He makes a lot of good points about what are society has become. People bring comfort animals onto planes and into stores in anywhere they want I just calling them comfort animals. These animals could be snakes or dogs or parents or whatever. He points out that not everybody is a winner despite what participation trophies represent. He points out that delayed gratification seems to have gone out the window. Adam accepted responsibility for himself in the work he did. The world is not equal and not everybody has the same things and those that have more than others are being shamed for working hard to get those things. It is not governments responsibility to make sure that they will pull you up. The way things are today, government is keeping people in a cycle of reliance on the government. The ACLU is on the side of a few so that they are not offended at the cost of the majority and their rights. Fathers and parents need to accept the responsibility of caring for their offspring. It is not the governments job to take care of the children they produce. Young people should learn what It is like to work hard so they can appreciate and learn to value what they may life. Hardwork prepares people and hardens them for the ups and downs in life. If they want to be like the boss, they need to respect the boss. They need to delay gratification, work hard and except responsibility to get ahead in this world. There are no free rides and not everything is equal. There are politicians out there who came from nothing and have succeeded but keep telling younger people that the system is rigged and they will take care of them. This keeps those people who buy into it in a cycle of poverty and uselessness. I may be paraphrasing some of what Adam said, but the gist of it is that if you want something, you need to go out and work for it. Nobody owes you anything.

President Me Review by Kug Toohey- Australia

I am a fan of Adam Carolla. His book is an easy read and laugh out loud funny. Some of the content will be very familiar to fans of his daily Podcast, but still very well worth purchasing. The Chapter where he addresses the United Nations is a stand out. Hilarious.
