i was very hooked with the story. there are some things which could be more elaborated but loved it overall. it would have been nice to know more about paul and his obsession with julia and her family and also the other police officers involved

But what a climax- a beautifully crafted ending in which justice is metered out in a way. Yet, I ask - can people who have been humiliated and hurt and betrayed not go ballistic ? At least for a while and then come to highly evolved realisations? 😄 nevertheless the characterisation, and relationships and the narrator r brilliant. The long drawn out descriptions of the abuse & violence were demoralising and need to be shortened. The recovery of the victims enhanced. The character of Claire is superbly executed. As for the father - eeks what a looser. Not a good advertisement for fathers. The psychopath on the other hand was brilliantly portrayed. Very frightening. A great warning for women.

So much work put into a very depressing reality -
