As an NHL player, relationships haven't been my thing. Shrouded in secrecy and speculation, they never last very long. But then that's what happens when you require an NDA before the first date. Until Charlene. She's like a firefly. She's elusive, and if you catch her she'll burn bright, but keeping her trapped dulls her fire and dims her beauty. I caught her. And as much as I might want to keep her, I'll never put the lid on her jar. Not at the risk of losing her. So I've let her set the rules in our relationship.

Publisher's Summary
Miller "Buck" Butterson has been banging his way through life ever since a puck to the face fixed his messed-up front teeth. After five years in the NHL, deflecting goals on the ice and scoring them with puck bunnies, Miller has decided he's ready for a girlfriend. A real, nonbunny girlfriend to take on dates and not jump into bed with after five seconds of conversation.
Miller thinks he's found that woman in his teammate's sister. Except, unlike team captain and all-around nice guy Alex Waters - who happens to date his stepsister - Miller's media reputation as a manwhore is well earned. Beyond that minor detail, Miller doesn't know the first thing about relationships or the time and effort they require.
Miller learns - eventually - that if he wants to make Sunshine "Sunny" Waters fall for him, he's going to have to do a whole lot more than show her his stick skills in the bedroom.

Perfect audiobook to embrace the Yeti
What did you love best about Pucked Up?
*SIGH!* I love all the Pucked Men but my favorite of all of them is Miller. He is sweet and perfect! I love the way he loves. What started as a revenge move, more like a thought because once he spend a little time with Sunny he knew she would be the girl he wanted to be his girlfriend, quickly moved into something more meaningful and challenging for him. He had to change a lot to prove everybody he was worth Sunny’s love and I’m so happy he could accomplish it.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Obviously Miller couldn’t do it all by himself, he had the help of Queen Violet and his best friend Randy. Love all my beloved Pucked Characters.
Which scene was your favorite?
I love the conversarion with Miller and Sunny af the end, the conversation that solves the drama!! *Not saying, it's a spoiler*
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Embrace the Yeti
Any additional comments?
Joe Arden has the perfect voice for Miller. It’s smooth and slow. It has the strength of Miller’s personality but also shows the vulnerability of Miller’s in certain situations in this book. Joe’s inflexions for Sunny were so great, translating her sweet personality and when they were having sex, it was so sexy and perfect. I seriously loved this audiobook as much as I loved the book. 100% Recommended.

B rating...
My Review:
Overall: 3.5
Performance: 4.5
Story: 3.0
This is one of those books. Overall, I enjoyed listening to it...with one major exception. I really did not like Sunny, especially as the book went on and she didn't change her attitude at all. Miller deserves so much better!! He's such a nice guy with incredibly rotten luck. Sunny was too immature, and he really needed someone better...who could actually respect him. Because as this book is written, I cannot accept that their HEA will ever last past the next online photo blowup. Ugh...seriously.
But I did LOVE Miller's character and thought the narrator did a fabulous job. The entire book is told from Miller's pov and I LOVED that. While this particular book didn't work for me, I am really enjoying the series overall, so I did grab the next one in the series. I just hope the couple is better matched than they were in this one.

✫✫ 3.5 Stars ✫✫
While I enjoyed this books, it was nothing like Pucked at all. I was expecting extremely funny but it was only a little funny to me, unless Violet was talking of course! Buck is a good guy underneath it all and Sonny is sweet and innocent...kinda. Poor Buck has the worst luck, no matter what he's doing things always look like he's doing something wrong. This book had a lot of drama and a lot of HOT sex. The narrator wasn't my favorite but I didn't think it was awful, just ok.

Hero awesome Heroine Sucked
I love Joe Arden but even his narration couldn’t get me to finish when I realized Sunny was going to be the heroine. I thought for sure the quiet girl that helped clean his face at the beginning might be the love interest.
I just don’t like Sunny as a main character. The author just doesn’t write Sunny in a favorable light.

Hello Yeti
This was another laugh out loud romcom by Helena Hunting with amazing narration by Joe Arden. He was perfect as sexy and slightly clueless Miller. Normally I love having dual POV in books, but this time having the entire book in Miller's POV was an added bonus. Joe Arden captured Miller's unique blend of sexy and vulnerable and also voiced the female characters wonderfully as well.
The story was hit and miss for me. As much as I loved Miller, he really did make some questionable decisions that had me rolling my eyes. It was the heroine Sunny though that almost tanked this one for me. She was sweet in a deer in the headlights sort of way, but her immaturity and lack of communication with Miller were beyond frustrating. Miller is in no way perfect, but he was trying. Sure he stumbled, but I liked his character growth throughout the book. Sunny on the other hand, repeated the same mistakes over and over again. I understand these characters are young and are still finding their way, but I never truly felt the connection between them and couldn't figure out what flipped the switch for Miller to go from a bunny lover to monogamy. There just didn't seem to be a lot of substance between them, besides physical chemistry. The best part of the book was definitely Miller's relationship with Violet (though the Yeti jokes were a little over the top) and I also liked getting to know Randy and Lily better. Alex unfortunately acted terribly in this book and I was proud of Violet for standing up for Miller. I'm really hoping Alex redeems himself as the series goes on. Honestly, I'm not even sure Sunny and Miller's happy for now ending will even stick since I'm not sure Sunny has really changed. Overall, this was an enjoyable listen thanks to Joe Arden, but all the back and forth, jealousy, and insecurity got old pretty quick.

I might be in the minority, but I enjoyed this better than the original Pucked.
I have to say I delayed on this story, because as much as I loved Pucked, I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy Buck's book. I didn't know if I would be able to be attracted to Buck, commonly referred to in Pucked as "the Yeti". The image in my head wasn't exactly all that hot! But I really do think I enjoyed this book even more than Pucked (even though that one had me laughing my butt off). Who knew that Buck was going to be Mr. Sensitive? Sonny was a little bland as a character, but the storyline was good and I loved meeting Randy in this book and can't wait to dive into his story next.

No Puck Up Here
Romantic comedy at its best! Just like book one in the series, Pucked Up was laugh aloud funny with quirky characters and flirty dialogue. The addition of some more serious issues grabbed at my heartstrings. Then add in the hot sexy romance and the book was perfect. Pure entertainment with the talented narrator... this book was no puck up.

First Book I Was Cheering For A Breakup
The heroine (Sunshine? Stupid name) was the MOST whiney and pathetic character I've read in a long time. I was actually hoping they would stay broken up. Who doesn't understand how pictures and social media are rarely accurate accounts of what really happens. Especially when it comes to famous people. I get it that Buck has a past of being a man whore but he's done everything he could to make sure Sunny knows that he is only into her. But every time a compromising picture is posted with Buck as the subject, she automatically assumes the worst starts crying and whaling and telling Buck she can't deal with it. Even after she promises to have some trust. Her brother has had the same kind of misleading photos posted to social media and she knows what it did to him. So if you're so weak that you can't even wait to ask what happened before you lose it, then why have a relationship with someone so high profile. I was actually cheering Buck to walk away for good. And when her brother did the same jumping to conclusions after what he went through and attacked Buck, Buck should have filed assault charges.
It's good that this book wasn't the first one. If I had read this one first, I wouldn't have read anymore.

A few two many repeats of being stupid.
What disappointed you about Pucked Up?
When you after only two situations/anecdotes in a really long book realize that even before EVERY situation the man lead character is going into you know that it is going to go wrong, missunderstandings is a given and confrontations with the female character is always the result. You can't really give the writer two thumbs up for originality or giving the characters a bit more depth and layers. The female Sunny for example is like a broken record. "I know it looks worse than it is in the photos but but but".
What was most disappointing about Helena Hunting’s story?
That it really early on was clear before every other situation what was going to go wrong and that the character Sunny was going to react the same again and again without actually taking a breath and LISTEN before the hysteria began.
Would you be willing to try another one of Joe Arden’s performances?
Perhaps.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Kind of, I felt for the male lead.
Any additional comments?
I guess this is kind of what people like with the genre, the missunderstandings galore with a kind of happy ending.

Not enough story and no sport interest
This overlong monologue, where the story occasionally interrupts the flow, has engaging character development but little else. It has none of the energy or complexity of a sports romance. Sport only serves to add muscles.

Perfect, I love Miller
Book 2 of the Pucked series following Violet's brother Buck and Alex's sister Sunny. This can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend you read Pucked first. Buck is a player (or was, until Sunny came into his life), he's trying is best to stay on the straight and narrow. Unfortunately for Buck, he seems to be a "Puck Bunny"magnet and finds himself, through no particular fault of his own, regularly on social media in compromising positions with other women. Enter Sunny's ex "Bushman," to try and sweep her off her feet and win her back, and we end up with some serious laugh out loud moments. I really felt for both Sunny and Buck. Sunny struggling with her trust issues, and Buck dealing with social media and dyslexia. I also loved Buck and Violet's relationship, so inappropriate, yet hilarious, gives a new meaning to no secrets within the family. Wonderful story, beautifully written with lots of chemistry between all the characters. It did take me a few chapters to really get into the book. Not as good as book 1 in my opinion, but I'm still looking forward to reading about more of the players in the next book.
Joe Arden narrating, just perfect.

Nearly gave this 2 stars
Very mediocre story filled with characters you just want to shout at in frustration. Lots of sections are unnecessarily long and detailed without adding anything to the story which makes it drag as a read. I don’t mind long books, but the words have to count and add value. None of the characters or the story left a mark. Left with a sense of disappointment and feeling unfulfilled now it’s finished.

I will listen to anything Joe Arden narrates!
I think Joe Arden could read a recipe book and make it sound interesting. The story itself is funny and held my interest, even though the main characters are almost painfully foolish in managing to get into constant strife. I loved Buck, and his relationship with his step-sister was one of the highlights for me, But it was the narration which made this great - not too emotional but really true to the character.

Ooh love
Oh 'Buck' I swear Butterson was giving me hives all through with the way he just kept accidentally walking into situations that painted him a negative light even when he didn't do anything wrong. plus I loved the nickname 'flash beaver', 'dick yeller', because sometimes we all forget names and your actions get you a real nice name 😂😂
sunshine could have been better in her judgement of the situation but through the book its easy to keep forgetting she's only 20 sonce this feels like a mid-twenties novel. But they came out shinning after going a little long without each other. The underpinning charity, Bucks dyslexia, his kum's early passing, do mane the story real and tangible and this story is just close to how bad things sometimes get whether we like it on not, with a side os poison ivy on your boobs if you have make up sex in the forest. Poor 'sunnys' little nipples. 😄😄
