Es war einmal eine kleine Elfe, die tanzte mit ihren Elfenschwestern am Wiesenrain, wo der Holderbaum steht, in den die Liebenden ihre Herzen und die Zwerge ihre Runenzeichen schneiden. Die Elfen tanzen gerne am Holderbaum, aber es ist gar nicht so ungefährlich, da zu tanzen, denn schon manche Elfe hat dabei ihren Schleier verloren. Der Mond schien dazu, und auch die Irrlichter leuchteten, obwohl das gar nicht nötig war, denn wenn der Mond scheint, ist es für einen Elfentanz gerade hell genug.
