An unexpected quest. Two worlds at stake. Are you ready?

Days after winning OASIS Founder James Halliday's contest, Wade Watts makes a discovery that changes everything.

Hidden within Halliday's vaults, waiting for his heir to find, lies a technological advancement that will once again change the world and make the OASIS a thousand times more wondrous - and addictive - than even Wade dreamed possible.

With it comes a new riddle and a new quest - a last Easter egg from Halliday, hinting at a mysterious prize.

And an unexpected, impossibly powerful and dangerous new rival awaits, one who'll kill millions to get what he wants.

Wade's life and the future of the OASIS are again at stake, but this time the fate of humanity also hangs in the balance.

Lovingly nostalgic and wildly original as only Ernest Cline could conceive it, Ready Player Two takes us on another imaginative, fun, action-packed adventure through his beloved virtual universe and jolts us thrillingly into the future once again.

Little Disappointed

The story just falls flat, there is absolutely nothing to look forward to. Given that ready player one was a great story, this just didn't live up to the standard.
Wil Wheaton's narration was what kept me from abandoning the audiobook.

A bit samey, but worth a listen.

If you liked the first's idiosyncrasies, you will enjoy this one. The story progresses in a similar manner, the stakes seem more human, but the events of the first still trump this one's by a large margin.

Meh...

Look .. .. It's not half bad... But if you expect it to be like Ready Player One, then you will be right and wrong at the same time. Right because the pop culture references are kind of not hitting home. Wrong because it is still entertaining. All in all, worth your 1 credit or whatever money you decide to spend on it.

Great story! Great Narration!

Ernest Cline and Will Wheaton did a great job. The story had twists and turns and the Narration had reactions followed perfectly.

Cringeworthy

God!! Never have a been more disappointed in a sequel to a book. I was rolling my eyes so much, I became cross-eyed. The first book was wonderful, read it and also listened to the audiobook. The second one, please spare yourself hours of cringing at the story. The first 3 hours were decent and gave some interesting concepts, but as soon as the antagonist showed up, it went downhill super fast.

No fault to the narrator; he did as good as a job as the crappy story allowed.

Bad story but good narration

The story was un satisfying, had no consequence and a not so good ending. The story was conflicting and relying solely upon nostalgia. The antagonist was not presented well forming mixed feelings.
