Here at GearShark, we're straddling that line to bring you exclusive coverage of what some have dubbed the war of racing. Every war starts with a spark and ends in revolution. Drew Forrester was the spark, but his second-in-command, Trent Mask, is the revolution. What does it take to stand brave in the face of opposition? Resolve of steel.... Stubborn will.... And a heart that refuses to give up.

gay-shaming MM?
very good narrators.
the story and plot is good, but the gay-shaming, sexism and youthful writing style is a bit of putting.
gay-shaming
eg: "my person" - drew not liking labels.
or: "choosen" sexuality
or: being proud that her husband is not a homophob - would you be proud that he is not a racist nor pedophile?
sexism
eg: "so girly"
or : be a pussy"
or: how she describe all the manly men.
youthful
eg: "literally..."
or: "hells yeer"
or: the lack of human knowledge
or: all the constant unnecessary descriptions of how they style their hair or what they wear.
this said, the book is still far superior to the first book in the hash tag series.

This Will #Rev You Up
An outstanding mainstream m/m new adult romance. Read book one first and then this finishes their HEA. Both books are with the same narrator who does a great job differentiating between the men. So great - love the whole gang in the hashtag and gearshark series.
The only weird thing was the bucket list quotes at the beginning of each chapter. Each other book made sense how she started a chapter. This one, not so much.

Masculine Love
Cambria Hebert's 2nd in the Gearshark Series "#REV" is a winner in every way. It's no wonder this LGBT-Lite /Sports saga is so popular with her Female Fans. The romantic adventures of Trent and Drew are lushly narrated but with a masculine sensibility that is very satisfying. Highly recommended for her many fans and lovers of invincible true romance. Well plotted and we'll structured. This is becoming a " must listen" series.

Love. Friendship. Family.
This book picks up from where it left off in book 1. The first few scenes are difficult to listen/read. It's a pet peeve of mine when one of the MCs goes off and be self sacrificing. Thank the lord, Drew didn't fall for it,
The journey towards the conclusion of Drew and Trent's lovestory isn't paved smoothly, but I'm so glad the two of them hang on to each other and their chosen families support them both.
I love this one way more that the first book.
Give it a go! It's a fun listen. =)

Good story. Good narration.
The first book was full of emotional tension which didn't drop off in this book. Trent and Drew work their way through the perils of being in an unconventional relationship.

I liked the first, but...
I LOVED the second. This one was all about the feels, and I fell in love with both men and their bravery. People can only hope to find a love like that. Great narration, too!

AFun Read -
The two books are a fun read. The two main characters were very well developed. You got to know them, feel the angst and the tension building between them. The racing is a cool bonus.
Loved Luke Itzvic's narration. Guy was a little strained.

Lifestyle choice
This story and writing overall isn’t terrible - not great either. There’s some toxic masculinity from the MCs that’s unnecessary. But this author really needs to NOT refer to sexuality as a “lifestyle choice”. Good narration.

wholly smokes let this fire burn deep
I love romance. I love all kinds of romance. I love the protective nature the goes in to a relationship that starts with adversity. I love when two strong individuals will breakdown every door, obstacle placed in their way to have that one person to make them more. I love Drew and Trent. I loved them both individually when I first met them. I loved them now when they have both been through so much. I loved their first book. I LOVE LOVE LOVE their second one. They have made a statement, cleaned up a mess, righted a wrong or two, helped charity, opened doors, showed devotion, protection, and love.
I found #Junkie to be one of the hottest MM romance around but now I get to had #Rev to the list. This was a scorching hot MM NA romance that pushes you to turn the next page or listen that extra few minutes. You will find that you have a connection with these two. Their was so much between them and the way the Hebert describes it all makes you feel. I mean really feel like you could help them change the world. Be there to be support. Be there to be a friends. Be there to show you have their back.
I love this series and the writing the Hebert so effortlessly places on the pages. The narration duo does their job just as well. The provide the voice needed to feel connected to the world that Hebert created and allows you to feel as if you are in that part of the country and seeing it all unfold.

Second book in the series and the second part of Trent and Drew’s story
Okay, so after the first part of this story I admitted that I would not normally have bought these books, but I liked the characters from the # series. I am pleased that I bought them. The story flowed well. The sex scenes were well interspersed.
If you like these, maybe try Lila Rose, she mixes straight and LGBTQ+ couples with triad relationships within the same series of books.

Audiobook is terrible
Had to stop listening to the audible and go back to the Kindle Edition. Reader Luke Itsvic over dramatic overacting. Just awful. Book is wonderful though.

No racing
This book is not about racing, it's about sex en soft feelings. Page after page. Why every chapter starts with a bucket list item is nit clear and annoying. The quoted sports magazine interview too is really stupid, avoiding talking about sports and poorly written. The narrator does voices well, but doesn't follow the writers clues about 'shrieking voice' 'laughed comment' and so on.
