Publisher's Summary

The man the New York State attorney general credited with inspiring her prosecution of Donald Trump—New York Times number one best-selling author Michael Cohen—tells the behind-the-scenes story of what can happen to you—and what really happened to him—when a president who believes himself to be above the law decides to go after his critics....

When Michael Cohen's secret payoff to porn star Stormy Daniels on behalf of Donald Trump made Cohen look like a liability to the by-then-president of the United States, the end to their decade-long relationship came swiftly—with a knock on the door from the FBI. Soon, Cohen would find himself imprisoned—even though he had plenty of evidence to show he was innocent of most of the charges. Meanwhile, with the release of the Steele Dossier, Cohen also found himself battling endless news reports citing the dossier claims that he had clandestine dealings with Russia—reports that only mounted despite his exoneration by the Mueller Report.

In a story now being echoed in recent breaking news stories about IRS persecution of other Trump foes such as former FBI head James Comey and others, Cohen details—in his inimitable blunt language, with absolutely no holds barred and naming names—his attempt to clear his name and tell the truth about Donald Trump. Chillingly, he also makes clear what happens when you try to speak truth to power, and the power knows no bounds.

Obnoxious Reader

I thought Cohen's first book was the best of the Trump tell-alls. I wish they had auditioned a few more readers for the second. It's hard to get past his bad acting and accent portrayals. They take you out of the story and into a high-school drama class every time he attempts one. The Trump impression is the worst and of course the most frequent. MC, if you make lots of money on this one, do the world a favor and produce a second option on audiobook. In fact, read it yourself. I've seen your impassioned videos and think your own voice would be very effective.

Revenge

Thank you for a superb book. It covers exactly how Trump and his gang are following the facist/ nazi handbooks of here is how America becomes another WW2 Italy/ Germany. I hope the rest of your life is good. You and your family deserve only good after your ordeal. Please people download this book and have a preview of our coming attractions under trump’s Republican Party rule.

Angering

I an only half way through and I just get so angry. The audacity of the DOJ and FBI is shocking. Where’s the peoples justice against their bold and shocking crimes committed? I knew when Barr was put in we would be fucked to start but that fat rat needs to pay for his crimes too.
I have never understood why Michael pleaded so fast but now hearing about his scum bag lawyer, I have somewhat of an understanding. Cold day before I would accept a plea that fast knowing its an injustice. Before anyone says something, Yes I have been in alot of trouble and no, hell no, did I accept their offer or threats. I was facing 10 yrs and pleaded to 5 yrs probation and a fine. They tried to strong arm me also but knowing their antics I fought hard. Michael being a lawyer should’ve known better even if he wasn’t a criminal lawyer. A perp walk out would’ve been better then serving 3 years. The entire public would’ve seen their bullshit evidence and say a collective “what the fuck” just as I have!!
Excellent book so far! I highly recommend!
I would hope for a 3rd book based on TRUMP CONVICTIONS 😂😂😂

New job formation please

Lots of repeat info from first book. Cohen tends to repeat info way too often.

Excellent!!’

Michael Cohen has published another excellent book! It ties together all the lingering questions the news reports did not cover. Thank you for standing up as Elijah Cummings stated, this was your destiny. Bravo!

WOW

That was quite a ride!! My gosh he really did get slammed by the system along with so many others.
Very eye opening.
Definitely sounds like our DOJ is a hot mess and really does need to be cleaned up! So does the media.
Good grief!
People doing much worse crimes and convicted for less time is so telling.
Thais was a great book to listen to.
Thanks to Michael for sharing his story.

The best glimpse of our possible future

First, I get teary eyed whenever Elijah Cummings is mentioned in such high regard. Second, Mr. Cohen didn’t predict our future he knew what would happen based on his past experiences with Trump. We should heed his warnings

A fascinating insight

Although I'd heard a lot of the information contained in this book from Michael himself via his Mea Culpa podcasts it was useful and interesting to hear it presented in chronological order. The additional details provided further insight into a heinous abuse of power.

Interesting’& scary at the same time

Firstly I think the book would have been better received had it been read by the author as he did with his book disloyal. It was unnerving to understand how a president’s power could influence the Dept of Justice when they are supposed to be independent branch of the executive. What Michael went through was terrible and injustice. The fact that individual 1 has never been prosecuted is beyond me,and utterly infuriates me.
As Michael said if it could happen to him it could happen to anyone-and that’s a very scary thought!

Great audio book shame about the narrator.

I think Michael Cohen is an amazing guy and I love everything he stands for. Would have been a great listen if not for the poor quality of the narration which in the main I believe was as a result of an appalling narrator.

Woeful waste of a credit

Don't waste your time all I heard was a bad man winge about how a bad man stiffed him.. Wining from start to finish and there's nothing in the book about anything the diacription said it would

this is a brilliant book. even better than his last book. Michael has started to develop into great author. I recommend this book to anyone who thinks Trump is a God. he isn't he is a petty spoiled brat who needs a good spanking OR 20 years in jail

Part 2 Trump

An insightful / truthful account of Michael’s journey after being convicted & sent to prison.
No punches pulled.
A follow on from his first book and fills in a lot of blank spaces.
Would recommend this book to those that have an interest in Michael’s story.

The only negative for me is I would have preferred a different narrator. He wasn’t easy on my ear.
