1985. Silke ist 15, als die Mutter die Familie mitsamt dem jüngeren Bruder verlässt, erst Brandenburg, später Deutschland den Rücken kehrt. Silke bleibt beim Vater zurück – ohnmächtig, die entstandene Lücke zu schließen. Fortan ist sie auf der Suche: Nach sich selbst, nach einer, ihrer Familie, nach Stabilität, deren Fehlen auch durch den Zusammenbruch der DDR omnipräsent wird. Und liebt dabei so radikal, wie sich das Land um sie herum verändert.
