Publisher's Summary

Ruth Cardello, the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of Up for Heir, turns a fairy-tale romance into a sizzling bedtime story.

Rachelle Westerly needs a break. After years of acting as the family peacekeeper, she’s finally ready to take a step back. Her movie-star brother has offered her the perfect escape. But on the very first day of her vacation, she steps onto a red carpet and straight into the arms of a real-life prince - and the promise of just the kind of flash and fortune that tore her own family apart.

As the soon-to-be leader of Vandorra, Prince Magnus de Bartelebon always gets what he wants - and the regal bad boy wants the sweet American schoolteacher. Although he should be announcing his engagement of convenience to a neighboring princess, Rachelle is the one he desires in his bed and by his side.

While the drop-dead gorgeous Magnus might be almost everything she craves, Rachelle can’t help but think that falling for him would be a royal mistake. He may be ruling a kingdom one day, but she’s in charge of her heart. And he’ll have to win it with more than a lap of luxury - as inviting as it is.

Story is ten stars

I loved every word! It has interesting characters that will charm and entertain you with every page. A handsome prince and an heiress find each other in spite of their titles. Family loyalty, love of country, and an inane sense caring will give them an HEA to be envied. Narrator is not great but the story is enhanced by the narration. Even with this narrator, I would still buy it again.

Royal Heir

Rachelle Westerly has gone to London to visit with Eric, her brother the actor, when she goes to his premier she meets Prince Magnus of Vandorra who also wants to meet Eric and bring him back to Vandorra. Eric does not do any press or visits. Magnus follows Eric and finds out his secret and literally blackmails him to get him to accompany him home. Getting Rachelle was not expected. He held his arm out to her and she took it and he mistook her for someone else and she was caught up in the chaos. She is an independent woman who speaks her mind but she is also a loyal and loving sister who looks out for those around her. She was captivated by Magnus and when he gets her back home with him, and introduces her to his world, his country, his family, him, they are soon falling in love. This one was special and even a royal intrigue cannot tear them apart.

Favorite Westerly Billionaire Story

So far this is my favorite Westerly's story although it didn't start that way since Rachelle was not one of my favorites in the first two books. She has developed insight and growth in Royal Heir or maybe I'm able to understand Rachelle more.
The chemistry between Rachelle and Magnus is off the charts even if Magnus is an egomaniac. Rachelle does job of checking his ego. However my favorite character is Reggie who tells it like it is. Hopefully in Hollywood Heir I get more Reggie.

Prince Magnus was a no for me

I personally did not like the prince and was mad when she gave herself to him. I didn't like his version of cocky.

I missed the family drama

I liked this one but I think that it was the weakest book in the series for me. I don't usually look for royal romances and I am not really sure if I am a fan of the trope or not. I like the idea of a royal romance but I can't really think of any that I was excited to read either. I wanted to read this book because I really enjoyed the first two books from the series and wanted to see what would happen to the other members of the Westerly family. I was never completely hooked by this story but I did find it to be a decent listen.

I must say that I missed the family drama from the first two books. This book takes Rachelle overseas to be with her brother, Eric, who has been largely absent from the series. Many of the characters that I loved from the first two books were not even in the country for this one. Rachelle wasn't my favorite from the earlier books in the series so I really missed seeing the rest of the group.

I can't say that I really liked Magnus. I can see that he had some good qualities but I was never completely won over by him. I did like seeing Rachelle and Eric grow a bit closer and I thought that the charity work that the characters were involved in was quite touching.

I am glad that I listened to this book. Teri Clark Linden did a great job with the narration handling a large cast of characters with ease. She added a lot of excitement to the story. I think that readers who are fans of royal romances might like this one a bit more than I did.

Sometimes left me confused...

I somewhat enjoyed the story, but there was a lot that was confusing. Rachelle alternated between refusing and giving in all too quickly. She was telling Magnus no but he was taking what he wanted anyway. Although I'm not sure if it was the story or the narrator that was giving me that feeling with her intonation.

appalling mimicking of accents

I always love Ruth Cardello's books. Love the story. what put me off was Teri Clark's Linden's British accent. it made it so difficult to listen to the story and follow. sadly I scrolled to the end. I will not listen to this narrator again. she messed such a beautiful story. poor Male voices. I am so put off and so disappointed. I will the narrator had stuck to one accent

Beautiful

This story was amazing. I really enjoyed it.
The narrator is fantastic with her making different sounds for most people in this story. I really recommend this set of books.
