Publisher's Summary

She’s off-limits. He has none.

There’s a girl. Beautiful. Popular. Fake. And my obsession. My fall. Probably my damnation.

Did that stop me? Do I care? No and no. There’s a line between right and wrong. Moral and immoral. And then there’s her. I cross every limit with blood-coated fingers. She says she hates me. I say I hate her too as I trap her, own her. Make her all mine.

Ruthless Empire is part of Royal Elite series but can be listened to on its own. For a better understanding of the world, you might want to listen to the previous titles first. This is a mature new-adult audiobook and contains situations that some listeners might find offensive.

The Audible is SO MUCH MORE....

I LOVED the ebook version of this book, Cole & Silver being my fave couple and delivering the best story of the series. I had some issues with it (more so towards the end) but it was a BEAUTIFUL story and the one couple I believed in their love & connection long before their official installment ever released.....I really can’t put into words just how special their story is, but it isn’t without difficulty and chaos. That made it all the more special.

However, when I read it I still couldn’t give it a perfect 5 because of those few issues I had with the twist. The Audible version though? Changed it all for me! These two narrators are absolutely phenomenal. The way this is narrated is seriously a method I rarely see yet cannot understand for the life of me why more authors don’t elect to have it read this way (where each narrator reads their own parts regardless of what POV the chapter is in).....instead of hearing either of them fake the opposite sex’s voice, I got the story as if I was truly there watching and listening to it all. It made it my fave Audible of the year by far. I know Shane West but this was my first experience (that I know of) with Keira and I have say, she might have just become my fave female narrator....the way she narrates is so full of emotion and life without being too over the top or forced.

Whether you’ve already read this book (like me) or are thinking about experiencing it for the first time through Audible, DO NOT SKIP IT. It’s AMAZING.

What a way to end this series!

Who doesn’t love a good blindside? Cole and Silver’s relationship throughout this whole series has been the definition of “it’s complicated”. Getting to see where it all started and watching it play out from each of their point of view gave me a greater understanding of who they really are. It was dark and twisted and had me second guessing myself up until the very end. I’m sad to see this incredible series come to an end, but these characters I’ve grown to love will stay with me forever.

Another successful collaboration between Rina Kent, Shane East and Keira Stevens. Shane and Keira’s amazing voices makes each one of Rina’s wonderful characters resonate, taking this story to a whole other level.

OMG 😳 The Ending Was EVERYTHING!!!

I totally did not see the last 45 minutes of the book coming. I have read all books in the series and this one really had me on my toes because I did not know who the person was that was in the background telling their side of the story. I would definitely recommend this entire series including this book I am now a complete fan of this author because I had never read anything by her before so now I have to go to her website and enlist so that I can keep up with her next books definitely loved it.

HOLY COW! DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING

This was a great end to the Royal Elite series (aside from 3 hour follow up book). Cole and Silvers story was LONG, their entire lives. So many facets to them. So many outside forces at work. Such a strong love that had to conquer it all. Timing was always off for them. But in the end they get their HEA. Narration was phenomenal! Awesome book!

Record Scratch!!

Wow what a great ending and plot twist that I honestly didn't see. I love this story, the entire series. The Doll Master is creepy as hell and not who I thought it was going to be. Some reviews are harsh but I would say start the series and judge for yourself.

totally worth it!

Oh my! This book was the perfect addition to the Elite family. So much lightnis she'd on Silver and Cole's relationship. I see silver so differently now. So misunderstood! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! Go in with your eyes wide open because nothing is what it seems.
the narration was amazing too! the narrators always stayed in character and the accents sounded authentic!

I somehow finished it.

The story felt off somehow. Like I couldn’t understand the timing. The smut scenes were good and was really the only thing that was able to get me through it.

anti pro choice.

A story that could have been good
but our main character is an idiot.
I only had 3 hours left before I couldn't take it anymore.
the constant complaining and bad choices was one thing
but once she got pregnant and wouldn't shut up about her baby and chapters after chapters of how abortion is bad no matter what the situation was
ruined it for me. there was literally no reason to hammer in every chance she had, to say it was bad. very disappointing.

voice actors did do an amazing job though so they deserve a raise
but story wise, save your money.

Zero relief from the ridiculously intense drama

This book was filled with cringeworthy drama that just never let up. No opportunities for readers to take a breath and build a bond with the characters. No slowing down the plot, just a pointless storyline and senseless, sloppy conflict. Constant tears and intensity with no break. And horrible fake British accents.

Amazing!

I loved the performance! First book I’ve ever listened to that had them play their own character in every line! And the ending was fantastic I did not expect it. Definitely will be reading the rest of the books.

A Must Read/Listen

Ruthless Empire by Rina Kent is a dark high school bully romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Shane East and Keira Stevens. This is the sixth book in the Royal Elite Series.

The book does come with a caution “This is a mature new adult and contains situations that some readers might find offensive.”

I absolutely love this series! Rina is an amazing writer! She pulls me into the story and makes me fall in love with the characters. I loved the relationship between Cole and Silver. I loved the added character of Doll Master throughout the book. It really kept me on my toes and I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I can’t wait for Royal Elite Epilogue to be released on December 10, 2020.

Shane and Keira did an amazing job on the narration! I absolutely love duet narration it just brings the story to life.

I would highly recommend this book if you love dark romance, bully romance, or romantic suspense.

Last full book in this series is my favourite

I didn't want this book to end. Just like I don't want to say goodbye to Royal Elite, I didn't want to close the book on Cole and his chaos. I will say that this tied up the whole series beautifully with the darkness I've come to expect from this author. But I adored this and this whole series and it's one I'll most certainly come back to. ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟(4.5 stars rounding up to 5 after listening to audio as Shane East and Keira Stevens really bring the angst and the characters to life)

Repetitive and predictable

I didnt enjoy this at all. It's so predictable and not hard to guess the plot. Also, really creepy. Most chapters are the same and there are a lot of problematic themes. Don't recommend

its a good story but is infuriating at parts

Good story well told very steamy but some elements leave silver looking super shallow she seems to lose her tenacity at parts not responding as a real person would so that is a little bit frustrating. would recommend to a friend but wish silver was better developed :)

Painful to listen to

I'm in utter shock how well reviewed this book is and I haven't found one review that has felt the same way as me so take this with a grain of salt. I found the writing unrealistic, extremely misogynistic & just cringe. Can we not have a kink or M/s story without the women portrayed as weak, helpless, naive, tantrum-throwing and extremely co-dependent? Yet they're also super smart? The voice actors didn't distinguish each character well enough so I felt lost at times and their fake accents sounded comedic.

Twisted romance meets primal desires

The raw emotion and intention of the characters is narrated with a primal like sense. There is no choice but to empathize with the protagonists but with Rina's acute attention to detail, the background stands out just as clearly.
A great listen by itself as well as in sequence.
