Almost impossible

Where did they find this narrator? So difficult to listen to him. Smug and very mannered. Read the words and then listen to them here demonstrates how he clearly gets in the way of the story.

Narrator spoilt it

The narrator ‘s odd inflictions on words and tone distracted from the story .. it almost sounded like he was mocking speak the whole way through I only finished it beachside if the story but had to restart a number of times

Great story, but too mushy in parts.

Good, fast paced story but undermined by breathy and fluffy lead female role. I found her naïveté and downright stupidity at times extremely irritating, which ultimately impacted on the quality of the overall read for me.

Not the best Baldachi

The core story is okay, not great but okay. But I really had to force myself to keep listening because there is so much unnecessary waffling in this book, at a guess, half of the book talks about details which really don’t contribute anything to the story and I found it tiresome to have to listen to it all

The end game is rather weak and predictable. No, not his best, in my opinion.

Terrible!

Baldacci is usually hell of a writer, but this bored the life out of me. The narrator was ‘unbelievable’, I felt suicidal!

narrator not my cup of tea

Struggled to get into first time round, which I think was due to the narrator rather than storyline

Not OK

It’s not OK to have the hero of the story commit an horrific sexual assault and then have his victim fall in love with him the next day. Completely irresponsible subplot that ruined an otherwise passable story.

Narration

Excellent books but Mr Baldacci should stick to writing not reading. Could not listen more than 10 minutes, everything was wrong with this i'm afraid

Great Read

Hard to follow at first but if you persist it becomes a really good read with lots of twists and turns. The ending is unexpected.
