Publisher's Summary

Emily Young had two goals in her life: 1. Make it big in country music. 2. Get the hell out of Bell Buckle.

She was doing it. She was on her way, until Cooper Townsend landed backstage at her show in Dallas.

This gorgeous, rugged, man of few words was one cowboy she couldn’t afford to let distract her. But with his slow smile and rough hands, she just couldn’t keep away.

With outside forces conspiring against them, Cooper hires the McKay-Taggart team to protect her. Emily refuses to let Cooper get hurt because of her. All she wants is to hold onto him, but she knows the right thing to do is to let go....

Say You Won't Let Go

Ok. Let me start by saying I really only do audio (I haven't actually picked up a book in a while)

I've been making my way down the list of Lexi Blake Audiobooks in the "Recommended Reading Order". Which means I have zero clue who these characters are or where they came from. This is a crossover series, which ties in Lexi's Masters & Mercenaries books. I think these characters had a small part in one of the "catch up with character books". But those aren't in audio and I didn't read them.

Back to the book.... The audio was alright. there were a few times when I couldn't figure out who was speaking at the moment. But that happens sometimes when there are a lot of little side characters. Overall the Narrators are solid and did a good job.
I personally did not like the Heroine, Emily. She was annoying and literally did everything wrong in terms of "being under protection" which makes her also stupid. Cooper was alright. I think he could have done better and Emily totally doesn't deserve him.
I mean really, when someone is telling you to stay in a room for your own protection cause there' is an insane stalker out to get you..... You should definitely leave and wander around outside by yourself, makes total sense. *ROLLS EYES*

I liked the heroine but...

Towards the end she made some stupid decisions. Just stupid for a 38year old! she gets approached by her stalker, but instead of letting her security and Cooper know on the low, she said nothing, broke up with him..to protect him? No thought process at all. Expect this from. 20something, not an almost 40 year old woman. That part spoiled the book for me

Great book ... but I wanted a bit more...

After awhile, the book becomes predictable. And, when Emily starts making dumb decisions about her safety, I want to shake her. Other than that, I did like the book. You will love Cooper! Emily... ummm not so much.

The narration is the best ever... with Andi and Sebastian... you can NEVER go wrong. They are the best.

Overall, the book is a good listen. Enjoy!

Good storytelling!

This is a romantic suspense novella length audiobook that reunites Cooper and Emily who grew up together in the same hometown. Emily is finally living her dream as a country music singer when she and Cooper reunite in Texas and sparks fly between them. But life on the road isn’t all it seems and while this story didn’t didn’t make me cry I did hold my breath when danger looms. Good storytelling and great narration by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York.

They find love...

Emily(Country Singer) and Cooper(rancher/rodeo)from Belt Buckle
Corrine Michaels
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This is just such a great story or two childhood friends who come together as adults after each of them has settled into the life that they were destined for …one a country singer and the other a rancher. Emily Young and Cooper Townsend both realize quickly that they are in love with each other and it is just so sweet. And, that Cooper understands how much Emily needs to experience her dream of singing shows how much he really loves her. Of course…life interferes and a stalker is after Emily and that creates so many new obstacles that need to be overcome before they commit to forever and marriage. Just love the ending and that Cooper builds her a studio at the ranch and they get to adopt baby Mia. So worthy of 5 stars and something that you can read in one sitting…relaxing on the beach or home in a comfy chair.

Wasn't bad but wasn't that good either.

I borrowed this one because I liked Cooper from "Say I'm Yours" and I am glad that he finally had his woman. He really deserves that. But I am not so sure of Emily. She wasn't that wise for her age. There really was a better way to be safe and she didn't have to hurt Cooper at all. It is not weak or wrong to ask for help and tell right people what really is going on but it is weak and wrong to try to solve everything by yourself when you are driven by fear.
I am still not sure about Ms. Michaels, either. So far, I don't like all of her heroines I have listened to that much. The number of the heroines I've listened to so far is 3. Is this enough or few, I really am not sure.
