Eigentlich sollte der Gefangene Rodolfo Lopez Rodriguez nur an einen anderen Ort transportiert werden, aber er schafft es, während dem Transport zu entkommen. Kurze Zeit später wird er von Oberförster Kaminski tot aufgefunden. Alles deutet auf einen Selbstmord hin, jedoch scheint etwas nicht zu stimmen.
Denn Kaminski glaubt einen Schuss gehört zu haben, von dem die Männer der Polizei nichts erzählt haben. Und das bleibt nicht die einzige Auffälligkeit der Situation. Wo liegt die Wahrheit verborgen? Die Erzählung beruht auf der Geschichte von Daniel Massivi Lopes, welcher am 15. Oktober 1993 tot aufgefunden wurde.
