Story
The first time I met Hudson Rothschild was at a wedding. I’d received an unexpected invitation to one of the swankiest venues in the city. Hudson was a groomsman and quite possibly the most gorgeous man I’d ever laid eyes on. He asked me to dance, and our chemistry was off the charts. I knew it wasn’t a good idea to get involved with him, considering the wedding I was at. But our connection was intense, and I was having a great time. Though the fun came to a screeching halt when Hudson figured out I wasn’t who I’d said I was.

Story
My love story all started with a letter. Only it wasn’t from the man I’d eventually fall in love with. It was from his daughter. A sweet little girl named Birdie Maxwell who’d written to the magazine that I worked for. You see, once a year my employer fulfilled a few wishes for readers. Only that column didn’t start up again for months. So I fulfilled some of her wishes myself. It was harmless…so I thought. Until one day I took things too far. While anonymously granting yet another of Birdie’s wishes, I got a look at her father.

Story
The feud between Weston Lockwood and me started at the altar. Only neither of us attended the wedding, and the nuptials happened decades before either of us was born. Our grandfathers had been best friends and business partners, at least up until my grandfather’s wedding day - when his bride-to-be blurted out she couldn’t marry him because she was also in love with Weston‘s grandfather.

Story
It started out like any normal day. Then the fender bender happened. The guy I collided with drove an expensive car and was drop-dead gorgeous. Too bad he was also a total jerk. We argued over whose fault it was and any other thing that came out of his condescending mouth. Eventually, the police came and we went our separate ways. The insurance companies would have to figure things out. I had a job interview to get to anyway - one I was excited about. Though that excitement changed to disappointment the moment the person interviewing me walked in. The guy from the accident.

Story
Bennett Fox walked into my life on one hell of a crappy Monday morning. I was late for the first day at my new job - a job I’d now have to compete for, even though I’d already worked eight years to earn it, because of an unexpected merger. While I lugged my belongings up to my new office, a meter maid wrote me a parking summons. She’d ticketed a long line of cars - except for the Audi parked in front of me, which happened to be the same make and model as mine. Annoyed, I decided to regift my ticket to the car that had evaded a fine.

Publisher's Summary
New York Times best-selling authors Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward bring you three sexy short stories to heat up your holidays!
"Sexy Scrooge"
The last thing I needed was to share an Uber with Scrooge - a cocky lawyer on a snowy Christmas Eve. It was bad enough I was on my way to court for the gift of eviction.
Although maybe today wouldn’t turn out so bad after all.
The Sexy Scrooge and I started to connect as we trudged our way through a storm. Our ride was about to end. But would I ever see him again?
"The Merry Mistake"
Note to self: Ask Santa for glasses this year. When I accidentally mistook a gorgeous man resting outside my building for a homeless person in need of lunch, we got into it. I’d only been trying to do a good deed around the holidays, but he called me righteous. I called him something far worse. If only I didn’t have to see him again. But fate had other plans.
"Kissmas in New York"
It was just supposed to be a simple kiss with a stranger. I'd done it to prove a point - that I hadn't lost my sense of adventure. But you know what they say about the best laid plans. Maybe I'd get something in my stocking after all this holiday season....

They're fun stories
TLDR; I'm an exhausting person who likes romance but demands logic and probability and it's probably killing me slowly.
I liked the stories for the most part but, (and maybe it's just me overthinking things) some of it sounded a touch too far fetched. It was definitely fun to listen to, but if you think about it at all plot holes start to form. I guess books like these don't have the main goal of completely logical and likely storylines, because then there probably wouldn't be a story, but even my own fantasies have to have air tight plots(which makes them exhausting to work through, but fun to play with).

Short, fun, holiday stories with happy endings
Scrooged is a collection of three short holiday stories by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. All together this audio book is 2 hours and 47 mins. Of course there is a happy ending for each story. My favorite is story 1, Sexy Scrooge. It is the shortest of the three stories but oddly felt like the most complete story of the trio.
Sexy Scrooge: 00:00:00 - 00:38:15
5 Stars. Feel good story. Super cute. They shared an uber and a cliched old movie kiss after her string of bad luck turned good.
The Merry Mistake: 00:38:16 - 01:38:46
4 Stars. A case of poor assumptions but good intentions with a little bit of karma mixed in.
Kissmass in New York: 01:38:47 - 02:46:52
3.5 Stars. Adorable ending. A divorcing woman. A dare. A kiss that changes everything. A chance encounter and a dilemma.
This little holiday collection was entertaining and well worth the listen. It is a good palette cleanser book, especially when you aren't sure what to listen to next. I will probably listen to it again sometime. Maybe next Christmas time.

Rotten and vulgar language
I didn't make it past chapter one. I will not listen to such rotten and vulgar language. It's too bad I wasted a credit on this book.
