Narrator Teri Clark Linden has a slight huskiness to her voice that lends an additional layer of angst to this moody romance. Fragile Mel has just survived an unexpected divorce, leaving her skittish and wary of love. She restarts her life by buying a bed-and-breakfast on the Oregon coast called the Sea Glass Inn and finds Pamela Whitford, the artist who inspired her move in order to commission artwork for her new business.
