About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

Curvy fitness influencer Crystal Chen built her career shattering gym stereotypes. After a recent break-up, she has little time left for men, instead finding joy in the gym—her place of power and positivity.

Enter firefighter Scott Ritchie, the smug new gym patron who routinely steals her favourite squat rack. Soon, sparks start flying....

As the ultra-competitive foes battle for gym domination, the last thing they expect is to run into each other at their grandparents' engagement party. And, in the lead-up to the wedding, Crystal discovers there's a soft heart under Scott's muscled exterior. Bonding over family, fitness and cheesy pick-up lines, she just might have found her person.

But when a photo of them goes viral, savage internet trolls put their relationship to the test.... Are they strong enough to get through it?

Crystal Chen is a half-Chinese half Irish fitness influencer and a gym trainer. Her parents consider her scheme to be an impossible one, and are certainly doubtful of its success.
When a tall, active fellow arrives at the gym, she doesn't like him because from the first she distrusts him. He is Scott Ritchie, the firefighter, and the one always issuing challenges to her. She wins all of them though. Later, she expresses the most poignant anguish for having indulged in unjust suspicions and intemperate passions about him.
There's a hint of something more behind his overtly masculine features, his obviously desirable appearance. He seems to be very kind-hearted, is extremely civil, and indeed willing to put himself out in any way to do her small services. She is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. Scott pads her ego like a shameless flirt. 😉 Her beauty sets his blood aflame, and, when his reverent lips touch her hand, each little nerve thrills with such wild passion that there is nothing which he will not do to gain her love. Crystal feels a jolt in her midsection. 💕
She has set her heart upon her career, and he does nothing to balk her. He looks on their relationship as a settled thing, and her father sanctions it, too. It is a desirable connection, and Scott is personally rejoiced.
They are a beautiful couple, and many of her followers comment on how wonderful they look together. Yet, some haters remark on how hot her partner is! How can such a curvaceous figure end up with a certified hunk? Their cruel words strike Crystal to the heart. She feels that every troll sneers at her as they view her beach photo.
Nevertheless, Scott worships her beauteous and all perfect form. He finds her stunning as ever! 💞

Crystal is a romantic figure & he loves her wholly

starting it was a bit obvio what a story line would be. A typical American story, PPL meet randomly, coincidentally they would be relatives bcoz of family members and then fall in love. But I would say this book is FEEL GOOD book. Good for it....

Good start for romance

the main character is a proponent of body positivity or in her words self acceptance but the story gets flawed with her constantly describing the physique of the man she falls in love with. More than the character, its the physical aspects that took the center stage. It makes the plot very paradoxical.

narration was fantastic, Good work of fiction
