शितू एक वेगळीच प्रेमकथा आहे, समाजाला मान्य न होणारी प्रेमकथा. शितू एक विधवा आणि विसू, एक उमदा, चांगलं भविष्य असलेला तरुण. कादंबरीला पार्श्वभूमी सुंदर कोकणाची.
शितू एक ट्रॅजेडी आहे. ज्यात ह्या दोघांचं प्रेम सफल होत नाही. गोनीदां ची भाषा खूप सुरेख आहे.
काही श्रोत्यांना कादंबरी थोडी टिपिकल वाटू शकते, जरा extra dramatic.
पण ऐकताना शेवटी मन विषण्ण होतं हे खरं.
