About this listen
Hermann Hesse's famous and influential novel Siddhartha is perhaps the most important and compelling allegory produced in the last hundred years. Integrating Eastern and Western spiritual traditions with psychoanalysis and philosophy, this strangely simple tale, written with a deep and moving empathy for humanity, has touched the lives of millions since its original publication in 1922.
Set in India, Siddhartha is the story of a young Brahmin's search for ultimate reality after meeting with the Buddha. His quest takes him from a life of decadence to asceticism, through the illusory joys of sensual love with a beautiful courtesan and of wealth and fame to the painful struggles with his son and the ultimate wisdom of renunciation.

Good book
It's a really good non fiction book. The audio is very clear, like the feature to adjust the speed and the timer feature is really cool!

bahut achi kahani
antim adhyay jab siddharth ke sampoorn jeevan ka chakra batata hai, jiske madhyam se woh oneness ki jo atman ki baat hoti hai woh bhaag behtareen hai.
lekhan bhi bahut saral aur sundar hai jo kathin vishay hone ke baad bhi kahani se aapko door nahi hone deta

A meaningful story narrated beautifully
Many a times I had tears in my eyes listening to this profoundly deep audiobook. The author gives you deep insight into all aspects of life "samsara" and the yearning a person has for liberation "nirvana". In the words of a friend who suggested me this book "it is not necessary that you will acquire true knowledge by blindly following the path of others, many a times you have to pave your own way." The voice of reader is soothing and can act as a catalyst to penetrate the teachings of the book deeper into mind.
Highly recommended !!
