A great adventure.

I'm glad I discovered these treasures from James Maxwell. His storytelling is fantastic, the narration is great. The story doesn't fall victim to the same old, same old. There are length of surprises and twists to keep one interested. I can't wait to start the final installment. So, of I go.

Fathoms Deep, Fabulous Read

This second installment in "The Shifting Tides" saga has the reader feeling like we're just now getting into the heart of the story. James Maxwell is a master of his craft, blending enchanting and unique characters with a story so beautifully written, it feels surreally more like you're watching it than reading or listening to it.

The cast of characters has grown even larger with this addition, but then the author has no problem killing off beloved characters without a heartbeat's notice, so I suppose it will all even out. Regardless, this is a masterful, beautifully told epic that simply engrosses the reader on their journey. Well worth your time.

Wonderful Book

First, I love Simon Vance as a narrator. His words are always crisp and he keeps me entertained.

This book is so good. I’ve grown tired of fantasy characters who make bad, childish, selfish and unrealistic decisions just to help a storyline. This book is full of real people, some good, some bad, but they make decisions that are realistic, and I love that. There is no daytime television type crazy drama that makes me want to stop reading. Also, I haven’t noticed any obvious plot holes and the story, main characters and the world are all fully developed. The character and world building is dispersed throughout the book, so it’s not overwhelming. I really have enjoyed this series so far.
