Efter at have levet sammen med den mere og mere psykotiske Simo i 14 år, flygter Cecilia. Hun kan stadig mærke ham i kroppen og huske det lys, der omgav ham. Men hun husker også de nætter, hvor han forbød hende at sove, og den altid låste dør til hans arbejdsværelse.
Nu er han død, og Cecilia er på vej til Canada for at mødes med Will Haze - den sidste, der så Simo i live. Annette Lindegaard (f. 1957) er en dansk forfatter. Hun debuterede i 1994 med romanen "Manden fra Mars" og har siden skrevet flere bøger for både børn og voksne.
