Editorial Reviews

An engaging mix of facts and stories for kids with active minds. The content here runs the gamut, from the fascinating myths of ancient Rome to the importance of civil rights today, from the harsh landscapes of Antarctica to the lava-encrusted ruins of Pompeii. The outline of the French revolution, with a play-by-play of key events, is an especially nice bite-sized chunk of knowledge. Throughout, actor Todd MacDonald's voice is upbeat and cheery, and he does a nice job of emphasizing the key points. Kids who can be convinced to leave other electronic distractions alone for an hour or so are sure to come away enriched.

Critic Reviews

"I'm learning all sorts of stuff about stuff I didn't even know I didn't know. And it sticks. In a nutshell: wonderful." (Jonathon Margolis, Financial Times)
