Publisher's Summary

A mysterious letter alluding to a secret in her parents' past brings Genevieve Woodward back to her Blue Ridge Mountains hometown, but she's also in need of a break from a high-profile career that has left her dangerously burned out and concealing a powerful secret of her own. When she wakes inside an unfamiliar cottage to find the confused owner staring down at her, she can no longer ignore the fact that she needs help.

Sam Turner has embraced his sorrow and his identity as an outsider. The solitary, disciplined life he lives on his historic farm is the life he's chosen for himself. The last thing he wants is to rent his cottage to a woman as troubled as she is talkative. Yet, he can't force himself to turn her away right when she needs him most.

As Genevieve researches her family's history and her and Sam's emotions deepen, they will have to let go of the facades and loneliness they've clung to and allow light to illuminate every hidden truth.

Incredible

What an amazing story. I’m glad Becky tackled this very real issue of needing help while in the lime light. The characters were adorable and the story line with its twists were entertaining. Will there be a book two to finish the car accident - Angel encounter? Looking forward to reading more of her books. Well written!!

Didn't care for the book.

Tried to read it twice. Nothing drew me in. Not the characters, the opioid addiction, the dialogue, the plot, nor the setting. It's certainly well-intentioned, but didn't justify my time.

Sweet story full of grace

This story was sweet. However, I found it hard to get into the characters. The strong southern accent from the main character made it sound like she was an older woman, instead of the 30-something lady she was. Other than that, sweet story full of grace.

Incredible, powerful story

This is an incredibly powerful story of secrets, love, mystery, and redemption...and the immense impact of a strong family structure. I truly now have such anticipation to read the rest of the series. Of course, I loved Genevieve and strong, silent, loyal Sam is my new hero. But there’s obviously still so much story to be told in this series about the “miracle five.”

I listened on Audible (as well as reading on kindle) and the narration was very well done.
