Nobody does small-town horror better than Rachel Harrison. After loving Cackle and enjoying Play Nice, I had high expectations, and this book delivered. It's quirky, fun, and more cozy than scary, with light feminist themes and Harrison's signature blend of horror and humor.
I listened to the audiobook, and the narrator did a great job. My only issue was the body horror and graphic animal cruelty scenes, which could use trigger warnings. Overall, a fun and fast read that I finished in a day.
