Story
In Super Bowl XLIX, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll made one of the most controversial calls in football history: With 26 seconds remaining, and trailing by four at the Patriots' one-yard line, he called for a pass instead of a handing off to his star running back. The pass was intercepted, and the Seahawks lost. Critics called it the dumbest play in history. But was the call really that bad? Or did Carroll actually make a great move that was ruined by bad luck? Even the best decision doesn't yield the best outcome every time.

As Scott Galloway puts it, by the time you hit your mid-20s sh*t gets real. Life becomes stressful. Even the smart, the hardworking and the elite can feel lost in a chaotic, noisy and unpredictable world. As a professor at New York University's Stern School of Business, the debate in Galloway's MBA class often veers away from business strategy to the challenging issue of life strategies. Which is why Galloway, in his signature take-no-prisoners style, has developed a dynamic formula for a life well lived.

You want to make better decisions. You want to be right more of the time professionally and personally. However, being more right consistently is a hard problem because the world is such a complex, evolving place. How do you navigate this complexity?
Mental models are decision-making tools that guide our perception of the world and our behaviour in it. They help us understand life, make decisions and solve problems. The best models help us make intelligent investments, develop groundbreaking technologies and even travel to outer space.
Building on our knowledge of well-known models such as the Bandwagon Effect or Paradigm Shift and introducing us to the lesser known like the Eisenhower Matrix or the Boiling Frog Symbol, this indispensable audiobook distils the most effective mental models into a single digestible volume.
It will make even the most complex models accessible and engaging to enable you to make better, more informed decisions in every part of your life.

Not just mental models, it much much more.
While I started this book with understanding various mental models, I realise this book will help me in my business, personal matters along with my development in finances and so many other aspects of professional and personal life. Well crafted.
The models have been beautifully positioned to talk about critical developmental areas. Well done!

A must, would prefer read it cause it’s easier to take notes
If you are into tech you should be familiar with 50% of the mental models. It’s an awesome resource. I was constantly taking notes for my personal monthly review. It covers lots of subjects.

I wish this was a compulsory textbook in school
I haven't even finished listening to it, but already this book deserves a high rating review. Mental models have never been something I had considered being of such importance. But, after understanding the concept of what Super Thinking was about from the Marketing Over Coffee podcast, it sounded all so very interesting. Now I find myself recognising different models as things occur in my life, which helps me understand situations better and respond accordingly. This is a book I will probably listen to several times over the coming years because it is so useful.

Not terribly engaging
Some interesting ideas presented here, but ultimately a bit dry and a struggle to finish. Tried to cover too much ground going over lots of ideas from many other people that you likely would have heard already.
