Sweet ending to there series...

This is the final book in the Hot Jocks Series and rookie hockey player Jordan "Jordie" Prescott and his coach's daughter, Harper's story entailing a charity auction and a bet. As the coaches daughter and living in the sport life she always set a rule for herself not to date players. Jordie wins a date with Harper (at the time of the bet he did not know who she was) and is determined to change her mind on going out with him. His persistent and the great lengths he goes through to get Harper to go out with him will have you feeling awww. Narrators Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood was a good listen portraying Jordie and Harper. They brought some personality to the characters on their growing connection. Two people with personal histories that makes wanting more with anyone can be challenging. When all is said and revealed the question is whether they can take the risk for more. This was a sweet ending to the series. Snippets of the characters from the other book was an added bonus. You cannot help but fall for all the Hockey players in this series and their stories.

Sweet story

This is a sweet story not terribly original but worth the read. The narration bothered me when the voices were faked by the opposite person. Like if he was thinking a narrative, he faked a the girl voice and vice versa. I can’t understand why they did that when there was both a female and male narrator available to speak the part.

What a Shot

Taking His Shot was such a great story! I love how Harper basically is immune to the charm of hockey players growing up immersed in the world. Jordie is head over heals at first sight but takes the bet he can win her over. Neither one knew what a little persistence would do and how it would turn both their worlds upside down. The perfect love story to end the series. Harper and Jordie were a great ending to the series but I will miss these boys so much! I loved each and everyone of The HOT Jocks!

Happy Sad

If it could be possible to be happy sad. That is what I am. I am happy to finally get Jordie’s story but sad this is the last book in this awesome hockey series. The Seattle Hawks are more than just a team, they are family. This is what I loved most about this series. Jordie is a rookie on the team. Cocky and self-assured in his talents on and off the ice. His one challenge to get Harper to go on a date with him. How do you get a woman who has vowed not to date a hockey player to date one? This is the journey that kept me reading and once he got her. How does he keep her? The story was more than sigh worthy. It was swoon worthy with a bit of cringe worthy moments. I was her for all of it. Although I’m sad to see this series end I am glad I was in for the whole thing.

Nailed to perfection!!

The narrators for Taking His Shot nailed it to perfection. I loved feeling that Jordie and Harper seemed to come to life and it made the story even better with the way this book was narrated by both Teddy and Savannah. The banter was brilliant, the sense of family was wonderful and the way their friendship progressed was beautiful to hear. I felt like something big was going to happen and I wondered how things would eventuate for them both. This was the perfect audio to end this fantastic series!!!

Good

3.5 stars Some books we love and some books just don’t hit the spot. This is one of those books for me. I love the author and narrators but this book wasn’t for me. I enjoyed others in the series though, so don’t let this put you off. It’s just a personal taste thing. Jordy was a nice guy, I really liked him in the previous book, and I loved his interactions with Harper and his want to do whatever it took. Harper was great, even if her ‘no hockey player’ rule wasn’t really explained or at least didn’t come across as important enough for the way she treated Jordy to begin with. She came across as the Ice Princess she was pretending to be at the auction. Once she finally gave in, they were great together. I liked the updates on the couples from the previous books. It ended well, and I was happy that the conflict didn’t last long, that with a little communication they were able to get themselves back on track and in love. Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood were great as Jordy and Harper. They bring the characters to life and deliver such fantastic performances. I have to be honest, I’m not a huge fan of bets. It shows such a disregard for the person. Now, I’ve read and listened to some that made it work, but for me, this book doesn’t fall into that category. Jordy never tried to put an end to it and allowed his teammates-his friends to speak about it in such a jerky way. The fact that the subject was also their coach’s daughter, just didn’t make sense or sit well with me. Had this been the first instead of the last book, I don’t think I would have listened to any more in the series.

Jordan wow!

4 stars! loved every book in this series and the audios have all been amazing. I loved Jordan he was just amazing, at beginning typical jock with his bet but he was just a sweetheart who wanted to be loved. Harper I did like she grow more on me once give Jordan a chance. I understood why she didn’t date hockey players but I felt like it wasn’t resolved. I thought she of spoken to her dad about it and get closure or what really happened with her parents as her sister made it sound like more. I will recommend this whole series to anyone wanting to read a hockey romance book!
