Steve Cavanagh's Eddie Flynn series goes from strength to strength. The Accomplice is another muscular legal thriller, setting off like a freight train before twisting and turning through a snaky plot. Cavanagh's great skill lies in combining action with courtroom skulduggery; memorably evil villains with shades-of-grey heroes; and the sort of turn-the-page adrenalin that makes him a worthy successor to Grisham.
