Forsyth brings an excellent plot to a riveting climax without pandering to the need to make a hero the victor in the traditional sense. In this case.. who is the hero? Who is the victim?

Excellent plot . Typical Forsyth.

Excellent narration of one of the best works of a great storyteller. Strongly recommend it.

One of Forsyth's best

The detail this book was written and orated is wonderful. Want I really liked was the detailing of the arms used and to realise the gruesomeness of the terrorist and what extremes they would go to. It’s an eye opener.

Absolutely stunning

Well researched and a pretty possible plot. The narration does full justice to the book.

Long one but a good one.

Starting with the narration, Steven Crossleys voice is sharp and even the Arabic names are pronounced accurately. The story structure is the time tested Forsythian one which is rich in detail. Could’ve been more interesting if the Afghan had been in Afghanisthan for long. Good one could have been better!
